📍Patouxai - Vientiane - Laos 🇱🇦
🍀 Patouxai or Patuxai is another important landmark of Vientiane.
This place was built as a memorial to the people who fought and died in the war.
Before the communist revolution, it can be seen that Patouxai has beautiful architecture.
Which is influenced by the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, France, in front
There is a fountain square which is something given by China. 💐
📸 If any friends come to visit here, I assure you that there will be many corners to take pictures with Patouxai.
But if anyone comes in the afternoon, the sun will be very strong, so bring a hat
or an umbrella. The sun is really strong. 😎
📸 If anyone wants a photo with Patouxai
There will be a photo service in that area for about 80 baht per photo as a souvenir. 😁

Really nice attraction, I think with very little entrance fee or even free, forgot! The climbing up the stairs is nice and exhausting but worth with the good view over the city and the evening traffic around. People are very friendly and the shops and sell what you need or maybe not need. Always when you think you are at the top it gets a bit higher, really nice gate to climb up!

Is there a triumphal arch in Asia? Yes, there is a Laos Arc de Triomphe in the capital of Laos, which is similar to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. It is a famous architectural symbol of the area.
I used to think that our neighbor, Laos, was very poor. It was discovered after the arrival that the country has a low-key leisure life. The reason I always wanted to see the world is to witness the answers that the books can't find...

Photographing here also reveals a touch of French style.
Lao "Arc de Triomphe" arch pedestal, typical Lao temple carvings and decorations, full of Buddhist carvings, showing the traditional culture and art of Laos, it is worthy of careful appreciation.

When it comes to the Arc de Triomphe, you will first think of the famous building in Paris, France. In fact, the Arc de Triomphe is not unique to France, but also in Italy and Spain. For Vientiane, the Arc de Triomphe is the landmark of the city and the most famous attraction.
Laos Arc de Triomphe is located in the heart of Vientiane and was basically completed in 1969. It is a large monument. When the liberation in 1975 was passed, the parade to celebrate the victory passed here, hence the name Arc de Triomphe. Half day Exploring Vientiane
Despite the short time to visit the capital of Laos, I still had the chance to explore some of the city’s highlights, like the Patuxai Monument.
One of the most striking things I noticed was how quiet and peaceful it is compared to many other capitals in Southeast Asia, and I really liked that!
There are several markets around the city, as well as cafes and shops. Overall, Vientiane offers a mix of culture, history, and relaxation. I really enjoyed my short experience here.

Patuxay, a landmark in Vientiane that everyone must visit.
During the long holiday, we had the opportunity to take the electric train across the country to visit Vientiane, the capital of Laos. It's a city that makes us happy every time we visit. Today, we are taking everyone to Patuxay, also known as the Victory Gate, which is a symbol of Vientiane. It's a must-visit spot for taking photos when you come here.
Originally, this place was known as 'Anousavary' (ອານຸສາວະລີ), which means 'memory.' It was built in 1957 and completed in 1968 to commemorate the Lao people and soldiers who sacrificed their lives during World War II and the war for independence from France. Later, in 1975, the communist revolutionary movement 'Pathet Lao' seized power, and the king abdicated, leading to a change in government to a socialist communist regime. The name was then changed from Anousavary to 'Patuxay' (ປະຕູໄຊ) to honor the victory of the revolutionary group, and it has been called that ever since.
This place is definitely a must-visit when you come to Vientiane.

The Patuxay Monument in Vientiane, Laos, feels like being in Paris!
The Patuxay Monument is located in the center of Vientiane, near the Lao Prime Minister's Office and facing the Presidential Palace. Originally a large monument, it was named the Patuxay (Victory Gate) to commemorate the historic event of the citizens' parade celebrating Laos' independence in 1975.
Admission is free, and the lights are turned on after 6:30 PM. There are fountain shows at different times of the day, with the best view in the evening. If you want to take photos📸, it's recommended to go after 5 PM to capture the monument in daylight, at sunset, and in the evening. Once the fountain show starts, you can take photos of both the fountain and the illuminated monument, making it feel just like being in Paris.
