Patriot Park is a theme park in Kubinka, Russia that is themed around equipment of the Russian military and the Soviet Union's victory in World War II. The park, officially opened in 2016, is designed around a military theme, and includes interactive exhibits with military equipment. The park incorporates the Aviation Museum of the Kubinka air base and the Kubinka Tank Museum. In 2020, the Main Cathedral of the Russian Armed Forces was completed and plans for an Armed Force Museum are in progress.
Visiting the Military Church near Patriot Park, Moscow – A Powerful & Controversial Landmark
✅ **Stunning Architecture** – The mix of traditional Orthodox design with modern military motifs is unique (though some may find it overly extravagant).
✅ **Detailed Interiors** – The mosaics, stained glass, and museum exhibits are impressively crafted, blending faith and patriotism.
✅ **Historical Significance** – As a tribute to Russia’s military past, it’s a fascinating (if controversial) perspective on national identity. #historicallandmarks #moscow #churches

The armed forces under theology have a different style.
It is said that if you come to Europe and don't see the churches, you will miss out on a lifetime. But be sure to put this one last, or else after seeing this one, the other churches will be dull. 😍😍😍
🌟 Highlights:
With the Great Patriotic War as the background. Every part of the church has a little thought. The onion dome is 14.18 meters high and 19.45 meters in diameter, symbolizing the 1,418 days and nights of the Soviet-German War, which ended in 1945.
The onion dome of the main church is 22.43 meters in diameter, and the time when the German army signed the unconditional surrender was 22:43.
The bell tower is 75 meters high, representing the 75th anniversary of the victory of the anti-fascist war in 2020, when the church was completed.
👍 Most recommended:
Be sure to come in the afternoon. This way, after the visit, you can see the lights at night, which are even more beautiful. And after the lights are on, the rainbow glass inside the church reflects different colors.
The power of arms and the thought of theology. The perfect combination is also admirable. 👍👍👍

No doubt, this church will amaze you!
No doubt, this church will amaze you!
It only took me 1 hour and 6 minutes to drive from downtown Moscow to Patriot Park yesterday (I plan to write a detailed guide for you soon, including opening hours, how to get there, ticket types, etc.)
But today, let's talk about the church first!
◆ The church is only 4 years old and was built on May 9, 2020, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Russian army's victory over German fascism, so its official name is "Cathedral of the Russian Armed Forces."
◇ This is the only Orthodox church in the world with a national armed forces theme.
◆ The church is really magnificent, with a height of 95 meters, a dome diameter of 19.5 meters, a bell tower height of 75 meters, and a capacity of 6,000 people.
◆ Located in the suburbs of Moscow (southwest of Moscow, 57 kilometers from downtown Moscow), see Figure 12.
◆ The church was built very quickly (only 20 months, from September 2018 to April 2020) (so the saying about Russian procrastination is not true)
In addition to government investment, local residents also donated 3 billion rubles (about 300 million yuan at the exchange rate at the time) to build the church.
Opening hours: 08:00–21:00 daily
Free of charge, in addition to the church, I highly recommend visiting the "Road of Memory 1418" museum next door (also free, with a comprehensive introduction to World War II), which is beautifully decorated.
You can take photos inside, but please do not use flash.
Best way to get there: Downtown Moscow - Kutuzov Street - Minsk Highway (get off the highway at the 55th kilometer)
+ Bus: Take the electric train from Belorussky Station to Golitsyno Station or Kubin

Cathedral of the Russian Armed Forces - Moscow
Cathedral of the Russian Armed Forces
The Cathedral of the Russian Armed Forces is the only Eastern Orthodox church in the world dedicated to a nation's military forces.
Located about 60 kilometers west of Moscow in the Odintsovo district, within the suburban Patriot Park, the cathedral stands 95 meters tall, is 79 meters long, and can accommodate 6,000 worshippers.
The purpose of the cathedral is to commemorate the glorious deeds of the Soviet Red Army, including the Victory Gallery, which is 1,418 steps long, representing the 1,418 days of the Soviet Great Patriotic War.
The dimensions of the church are all symbolic; the main dome's drum has a diameter of 19.45 meters, symbolizing the last year of World War II, 1945. The bell tower is 75 meters high, representing the 75 years between the year the church was dedicated, 1945, and 2020. Finally, the height of the smaller domes is 14.18 meters, reflecting the conflict that lasted 1,418 days and nights. There are rumors that the steps leading to the cathedral are covered with metal extracted from melted Nazi tanks.
Quite impressive, a friend took me around for a day, and I recommend everyone to go and see it for themselves.
