PATENGGANG LAKE - BANDUNG
Situ Patenggang or Situ Patengan is a lake located in the area of natural attractions in South Bandung, West Java, Indonesia, precisely in Ciwidey. Located at an altitude of 1600 meters above sea level, this lake has a very exotic view. Situ Patenggang also has beautiful natural scenery, because around it there is a stretch of tea gardens. Many kinds of exciting activities are offered at Situ Patenggang. Like enjoying the panoramic view of the lake and the freshness of the gardens that surround it. Tourists can also get around the lake by boat and water bike in the shape of a swan. The lake which is under the foot of Mount Patuha is never empty of tourist visits. There is a myth "Anyone who wants to look lasting, come to Batu Cinta and surround the Island of Asmara. The existence of these legends and myths is a very strong attraction for tourists. Situ Patenggang is known to have stunning natural beauty and exotic panoramas. Surrounded by views of tea gardens lined up neatly with green shoots presenting a charming view. In the morning the atmosphere is not crowded and the air you breathe is still fresh. The thick fog slowly began to dissipate along with the sun's rays as a painting. The sound of birds chirping also adds to the cheerful atmosphere in the morning. One of the uniqueness of this lake comes from the folk legend that is stored behind it. The name of this place comes from the story of Ki Santang and Dewi Rengganis who had to be separated. They tried to find each other, until one day they met in this place. Patenggang is said to come from the word 'pateangan-teangan' which means looking for each other. After meeting, Rengganis asked Ki Santang to build a lake with a small island in the middle. This small land is now called Sasuka Island or better known as Asmara Island.
