Langkawi, Malaysia is a top choice for a romantic getaway – these three hotels are a must-visit with their stunning views that look great from any angle
Langkawi is one of Southeast Asia's most coveted scenic destinations and Malaysia's most popular holiday island, located at the exit of the Strait of Malacca leading to the Andaman Sea, near Thailand – known as the 'Jewel of Malaysia', the Langkawi archipelago is the largest island group in Malaysia, consisting of 99 islands situated off the northwest coast of Malaysia – this beautiful and laid-back island is not just about sunshine, beaches, and azure seas, but also boasts a collection of luxurious resorts and popular Instagram spots. Today, I'll share three resorts across different price ranges suitable for varying budgets:
👍 Highly recommended:
The Danna Langkawi Luxury Beach Villa Resort with an average price of 2000-3000, offers a great environment and service – although there are many internationally renowned chain hotels on Langkawi Island, such as The St. Regis, The Westin Resort, The Ritz-Carlton, and Four Seasons. However – there are also luxurious local hotel brands, and The Danna Langkawi is one of them, offering even better value for money! This five-star luxury resort is located within Telaga Harbor Park – with a prime location. The hotel features an enormous swimming pool and a private beach stretching 2 kilometers – the resort is surrounded by lush greenery. The Princess Beach Villa I stayed in – upon arrival, in addition to being greeted with a welcome drink and a cold towel at the front desk, there was also a spa therapist from the hotel who gave each guest a shoulder and neck massage for about ten minutes – instantly relaxing and putting you in vacation mode! Our villa came with a large garden and private pool – the garden leads directly to the beach, where there are exclusive sun umbrellas and loungers, truly a high-value vacation experience!
👍 Highly recommended:
The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi with an average price of 2800-3600, has a stunning environment! The service, hygiene, and soundproofing are all excellent! Located in a secluded bay of Langkawi – surrounded by rainforest, lush and verdant, overlooking the Andaman Sea, serene and tranquil. The hotel draws on the essence of local culture to create a unique island experience and also showcases the infinite charm of the local ancient village 'Kampung'! The hotel not only has a private beach but also enjoys the entire bay – backed by a primordial tropical rainforest, it's especially convenient to go to the market, airport, or the marine national park! The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi is just perfect for a romantic getaway, I stayed in a beach pool villa for five days and four nights, with a huge private pool that not only leads directly to the beach but also offers a stunning sea view, allowing you to watch the sunset every day! The room is very typical of The Ritz-Carlton's resort style – The Ritz-Carlton's resort rooms usually have darker tones, which reflect the brand's solidity and heritage, and the use of localized elements to enrich the room's colors is an important means to make each Ritz-Carlton resort unique, and The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi is no exception! I also visited the hotel's various restaurants and bars – my favorite is the Horizon Bar, a sea bar with an infinity pool, and it's also an adult-only pool – amazing! Although I could watch the sunset from my own villa, I still came here every day for a few drinks to watch the sunset – then went to other restaurants for dinner, utterly enjoyable!
👍 Highly recommended:
Pan Pacific Langkawi Resort with an average price of 1200-2000, is a new hotel with great facilities and service – the pool is fantastic! Pan Pacific Hotels Group has a presence across 31 cities in Asia, Oceania, North America, and Europe – with nearly 50 hotels, resorts, and serviced apartments under the Pan Pacific, PARKROYAL COLLECTION, and PARKROYAL brands, whether in tropical islands, rugged valleys, or bustling city centers, you can find an extraordinary place to stay! Pan Pacific Langkawi Resort is a new hotel that just opened last year, I stayed in a top-floor deluxe sea view suite – with a private pool, a huge terrace, and a great view! Pan Pacific Langkawi Resort is located on the pristine and lush Central Beach – with a continuous quality coastline and excellent scenery! When it comes to Phuket, almost everyone knows it, but when it comes to Langkawi, which is just a few dozen nautical miles from Phuket and also an archipelago – relatively few people know about it! The eagle is the totem of the locals, and the English name of Langkawi contains the meaning of the eagle – the scenery of this archipelago is extremely rich, almost all natural, with no man-made sights! There are mangroves where white-bellied sea eagles gather, super beaches where you can watch the sunset over the Strait of Malacca, strange-looking monkeys that can interact closely with people, and seas where you can catch delicious grouper with just a fishing hook... When traveling and vacationing in Malaysia, of course, a trip to Langkawi is a must!
