Highlights: The Palais Garnier is one of the most beautiful buildings I have ever visited. The whole building is a piece of art from the outside to all of the inside. We bought tickets in advance for easy entry. It is not expensive and it takes you not over 2 hours to see it. I really appreciated the ballet costumes and art pieces on display- an unexpected perk! Famous for The Phantom of the Opera, this opera house now hosts many ballet performances. You can't take photos during the performances, so I took pictures of the hall, the exterior, and the souvenir shop. The intricate decorations were mesmerizing. You can buy postcards as souvenirs. Surprisingly, I got an extra postcard as a bonus! The atmosphere was very luxurious and solemn, and it was beautiful. I was so lucky to see ballet in Paris Opera Garnier in November 2023. For art/architecture/music lovers and ordinary tourists alike, the Palais Garnier is a must-visit location. The building is filled with accessories and features that will keep any person engaged for hours. The exterior of the building is decorated with intricate sculptures and figures depicting some of the most notable figures of opera and music, which include the likes of Bach, Rossini, Mozart, and Beethoven. The dome is topped with a figure of Apollo towering over visitors with grandeur and glory. If it already looks grand from the outside wait till you see the interiors. There are some stunning rooms which are worth visiting, including taking a glimpse at the Chagall ceiling in the auditorium. It really is one of the most beautiful opera houses in the world! When taking photos, you need to wait for a moment when there are no tourists nearby, which means that even if there are tourists, they will be blurred or not prominent in the background. (Pic 1️⃣️3️⃣️) 3️⃣️Take photos on the stairs, grasp the light well, because the light in the lobby is not strong, so you must find the side with light on your face. If your shoes look good, taking full-body photos on the stairs should be very nice. 4️⃣️There is a corridor in the opera house where tourists are most frequently photographed. It is one of the typical buildings of Napoleon III. Only after strolling around the opera house did I find the entrance, which reminded me that on Sundays the opera house was only open from 2:30 - 4:30 in the evening, which really flustered us who arrived here at dawn. But, on simply seeing the imposing exterior we were filled with awe. Next time we visit, we will make it inside for a visit.
