Versailles Palace Visit Guide
Everyone is probably familiar with the Château de Versailles, located in the southwestern suburbs of Paris, in the Yvelines department. It was built in 1682 by the Sun King, Louis XIV. The palace includes open rooms such as the royal apartments, gardens, and art collections.
When is the best time to visit this vast and popular attraction? What are the must-see spots?
🔺Ticket Purchase Tips🔺
It is highly recommended to buy tickets online in advance, and the earlier, the better. While you can purchase tickets on-site, the queues are often very long.
🔺Entry Time🔺
Versailles Palace is crowded at any time of the day. Some influencers suggest entering during the last timeslot when other visitors are leaving, allowing you to take photos in the Hall of Mirrors without the crowds. However, if you genuinely want to appreciate Versailles and not just take photos, it is not advisable to enter during the last timeslot, as the palace is enormous and you might not be able to see everything in one day.
🔺Must-Visit Rooms🔺
The King's Grand Apartment, the Queen's Grand Apartment, the War Room, and the Hall of Mirrors

Palace of Versailles
A first time trip to Paris requires a visit to the Palace of Versailles to learn how French royalty once indulged. There are frequent trains from Paris to Versailles, and then there is a short trek to the palace grounds (recommend to purchase all tickets online). Inside the palace are amazing displays of gold and artwork, showcasing the opulence and wealth of the former French empire. There are also garden tours, which I regrettably didn’t have enough time to explore, so I must leave that on my list of must dos for my next visit to Versailles!

Chateau de Versailles
The most famous French king has to be Louis XIV. The history of Versailles is inextricably linked with the figure of Louis XIV. Although the location existed for centuries before the sovereign, Louis XIV developed a genuine liking for Versailles early on, and decided to extend it beyond the chateau that had grown out of the hunting lodge of brick and stone first built by his father.
highly recommended to buy your tickets online rather than queue for tickets there as the queues go up to hours during peak seasons like summer.

Magnificent Palace of Versailles
The palace was so luxurious. We spent half a day there visiting the art gallery in the palace, also the beautiful gardens. It has several sections consist of the King’s State Apartment, the Queen’s State Apartments, Hall of Mirrors, the Gallery of Battles and more. It was relaxing to walk around. We like to visit former royal residences, truly an eye opener for the history, culture, and green spaces. All with great views and get to know how the royal families adore their horses.

An amazing day in Versailles!
#2023travelwish
One of my most memorable place in France is The Palace of Versailles, it was the former royal residence which built by King Louis XIV.
This 17th-century majestic palace's architectural style is Baroque and Neoclassical, the immense palace with gilded apartments, chandeliere Hall of Mirrors, stunning landscape and fountain show. I was really impressed by this resplendent palace and its well-designed & distinctive geometrical French garden. By the way, rent an audioguide to make the most of the visit and learn more about the Palace.

Another iconic tourists attraction to visit is the Palace Of Versailles located at Place d'Armes, 78000 Versailles where you will be able to see the many antiques sculptures and paintings being show case.
This palace was built before the 1800s where it is a residence said to be the King Louis XIV where it houses 2000 over rooms where the palace features the hall of mirrors, royal Chapel, royal opera and a beautiful park located right infront of the palace itself.
There is an entrance fee required to this place and a mandatory slot booking due to the popularity of visitors to this place.
It would be a dream vacation again to Paris, especially when I'm doing a solo travel. As the last Paris trip was a family trip.

Palace Covered With Arts
I have never stayed in a palace but that doesn't mean I can't be a princess for a day and visit a royal palace. I was in Paris and I am glad I visited the palace of Versailles.
The palace of Versailles is now protected under the unesco heritage and it is a place of grandeur and one that is rich with history and arts. It is so beautiful once you set foot into the palace and the garden of Versailles, which was once stayed by King Louis XVI. The palace is also decorated with a whole lot of art paintings in the the place itself and you get to see numerous precious art artifacts as well.
The gardens of Versailles was impressive and very well maintained. unfortunately, the time I went was gloomy but it still doesn't take away the beauty of the place. Just gorgeous!

Why is the Palace of Versailles so popular and you must visit it at least once in Paris? Well, this World Heritage site is one of the most significant achievements by Louis XIII in the French 17th century, especially in art.
And transformed by his son, Louis XIV into the beautiful palace, the estate has divide into few zone, such as: The Palace, The Garden, The Estate of Trianon and the Park.
The most outstanding place in my opinion is The Palace, which contains three historic places, such as the Hall of Mirrors, the King's Apartment and the Gallery of Great Battles.
Another place you must visit is the garden, which contains 3 beautiful garden; the Fountains, Parterres and Paths, and The Groves.
This palace is closed on Monday, ticket is available at Trip.com, it's takes around 1 hour from city by train. Free audioguide in 12 languages is available in Versailles Apps.

Château de Versailles @ Paris !
The Palace at Versailles is also know as Château de Versailles (French). It is a former royal residence located in Versailles, about 12 miles (19 km) west of Paris, France. The palace is owned by the French Republic and has since 1995 been managed, under the direction of the French Ministry of Culture, by the Public Establishment of the Palace, Museum and National Estate of Versailles.
The palace and park were designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979 for its importance as the center of power, art, and science in France during the 17th and 18th centuries. The French Ministry of Culture has placed the palace, its gardens, and some of its subsidiary structures on its list of culturally significant monuments.
On the first floor of the Palace of Versailles, the restaurant tea room offers sweet and savoury dishes all day long. The space combines elegance, charm and refinement. In addition, the Angelina delicatessen has a snack counter and room to sit and taste its delicacies in the two small rooms. With its exceptional pastries, the Angelina tea room is a place of gourmet delights.

Visiting the Palace of Versailles is one of the things to do absolutely when you visit Paris. The castle is 20 kilometers away from Paris but it is easily accessible by train. Just take the RER line C. The journey takes about 1 hour.
Especially remember to buy your skip the line ticket in advance on the Internet to avoid the very long queue that can occur especially during the holiday period.
Once there, plan a full day to visit without stress the different rooms of the castle and the gardens with its dozens of ponds and fountains. Don't miss the Hall of Mirrors in the castle. Outside the domain is very vast and there are several mansions to explore, such as the Petit and Grand Trianon and the Hameau de la Reine.
In the summer, the castle offers every weekend a sound and light show in the gardens as well as a fireworks display. #paris #awesomepic #worldheritage #movielocations

To describe a place like Versailles, you could use a plethora of adjectives: magnificent, lavish, huge, mind-blowing, etc. Like many, I came to know this mansion and its gardens from school books, yet the real visit is something else.
Located about 45 minutes outside of Versailles, the cheapest and most convenient way to get there is by train. During high season the queue at the entrance can drive you insane, so don’t forget to book your tickets in advance and start your visit in just minutes! From the bedrooms to the magnificent halls, this place played a significant role in the world’s history and has been preserved exceptionally well through the centuries. Every corner screams opulence!
As much as you can be impressed by the grandiosity of the palace, nothing prepares you for the visit of its massive 2000-acre gardens. The sheer amount of details is probably unmatched by any other place in the world: amazingly manicured lawns, fountains, and sculptures populate the entire area, where baroque music is spread by hidden speakers located across the gardens.
Across the property, there are multiple spots where you can sip some fresh orange juice, or enjoy a coffee or a gelato.

Walking in Royal Footsteps: A Day at the Magnificent Palace of Versailles
#europetrip
A visit to the Palace of Versailles is like stepping into the pages of history, where the opulence of France’s royal past comes to life. Located just outside Paris, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is a stunning example of 17th-century French art, architecture, and grandeur. For €19, the basic admission ticket grants access to the palace, its legendary gardens, and the estate of Trianon, promising an unforgettable experience of royal extravagance.
As I entered the gilded gates, the sheer scale of Versailles took my breath away. The tour through the palace’s interior revealed a treasure trove of history and artistry. The Hall of Mirrors, with its dazzling chandeliers, intricate ceiling frescoes, and arched mirrors reflecting the sunlight from the palace gardens, was truly awe-inspiring. Each room seemed more lavish than the last, adorned with gold accents, marble, and exquisite artwork that showcased the power and prestige of King Louis XIV’s reign.
Stepping outside, the grandeur continued with the Gardens of Versailles. Spanning over 800 hectares, the meticulously manicured lawns, geometric flowerbeds, and sparkling fountains created a sense of timeless beauty. Wandering through the garden’s pathways, I stumbled upon tranquil ponds and hidden groves, each corner revealing a new perspective of the palace. The synchronized fountain displays added a magical touch, making the gardens feel alive with movement and sound.
The visit also included the Estate of Trianon, a more intimate retreat compared to the grandeur of the main palace. The Petit Trianon and Marie Antoinette’s Hamlet offered a glimpse into the personal lives of French royalty, showcasing their taste for simplicity amidst splendor.
Versailles is not just a historical site; it’s a journey through the height of French luxury and artistry. From the palace’s opulent halls to the serene beauty of its gardens, every moment felt like a connection to the grandeur of a bygone era. Whether you’re a history enthusiast or simply looking to immerse yourself in beauty, the Palace of Versailles is

Palace of Versailles Paris 🇫🇷
#europetrip
Chateau de Versailles The most renowned French king is definitely Louis XIV. The history of Versailles is closely tied to Louis XIV. While the site had a long history before the king, Louis XIV developed a strong fondness for Versailles early on and chose to expand it beyond the chateau that originated from his father's hunting lodge of brick and stone.
It's best to purchase your tickets online instead of waiting in line there since queues can stretch for hours during busy periods like summer.

[Magnificent and luxurious] Palace of Versailles🇫🇷
Everyone knows about the Palace of Versailles🇫🇷🏰.
Anyway, it was just gorgeous. That's all I can say. I looked it up and it seems that about 6 million tourists from all over the world visit every year to see this splendor.
The interior was really full of gorgeous and elaborate parts. The gardens are also well maintained. The fountains⛲️ are also beautiful✨
As it is related to the French Revolution, I was excited from start to finish as a history lover. Anyway, it was really really gorgeous✨ I wonder how much it cost lol
It's worth a look.

The Palace of Versailles is a magnificent palace located southwest of Paris, about 20 kilometers away. The journey to the Palace of Versailles by car takes about half an hour from the center of Paris.
This palace was the center of political power of the Kingdom of France in the period 1682-1789. This palace is also a symbol of the luxury of European aristocratic life at that time. For France itself, this palace is also a symbol of absolute power in the ancient regime era or the period when feudal power ruled in France.
Entering the Palace of Versailles, we are amazed by the collection of paintings, sculptures and other works of art.
