Paddy's Market in Sydney, with lots to see and buy
If you are visiting Sydney, this is a must-visit Paddy's Market review.
Paddy's Market is located right at the entrance when you get off at Haymarket by tram. If you are staying near Haymarket or Central Station, you can easily walk there.
The main first floor is filled with souvenir shops, toy shops, costume shops, etc. Half of the space is occupied by souvenir shops, toy shops, and costume shops. The prices are cheaper than other downtown souvenir shops, and there are many kinds. If you are going to buy souvenirs, I recommend buying them first, and buying items that are not available here from other places.
When I visited, it was Easter, so I could see related decorations and decorative items.
The other half is a fruit and vegetable market, so you can see locals buying and selling things. Paddy's Market is located in Chinatown, so most of the customers were Chinese Australians. I bought apple mangoes here. They were out of season, so they were not sold at the supermarket, but they were the only ones sold here. They were so delicious and not expensive, so I bought them twice. It's not that big overall, so you can see everything in about an hour.
There's a shopping mall called Market City above Paddy's Market. There are a lot of places to shop, like drugstores, and a food court, so it's good for a light meal.
I ate beef soup at Uyuktangmyeon Restaurant, and they made the noodles themselves, and you can choose the thickness of the noodles, and the meat was generous, so it was really delicious.
There are also many other restaurants, so you can choose according to your taste.
