#timetotravel This is Osmena Peak in Cebu and it is one of the most famous trekking sites in Cebu as it is not that hard to trek which is prefect for beginners. From the jump off point to the view point it won't even take you an hour. Just go on your own pace. This is the reason why I said that this is a fun trekking because the trail isn't even that hard plus the scenic views are breathtaking too. Entrance Fee: 30 pesos per head which you have to pay at the hiker's center. It is really worth it especially if you are going on a nice day and even better during sunrise or sunset! #gohiking What better way to spend the weekend than having a date with nature. Go hiking and take on a challenging climb up the mighty Osmeña Peak in Dalaguete, Cebu. Appreciate the beauty of nature, bathe in the mighty sun for more doses of Vitamin D. There are guides to help you out in your adventure as you take the trail. It’s not just for climbing enthusiasts. Newbies like me can still take on this kind of activity and you’ll surely want to come back for more. There are 4 other trails which you can also take. Not sure if this was the hardest but probably one of the best. I recommend this for a weekend getaway. Be sure to wear your best footwear as the trail can be slippery. You need to get a good grip on the ground.

Osmeña peak (aka O peak) is one of the famous tourist attractions in Cebu situated in Mantalongon, Dalaguete. It is the highest peak in Cebu but if you are not the type who likes adventure or mountaineering, do not worry, since it just take a 30 minute hike to reach the peak. It is a 4 hour bus ride from the city proper. Upon reaching the bus drop-off point at Dalaguete, you need to ride a motorcycle (aka habal-habal) which will take you to the jump-off point. Upon registration, you need to pay 50 pesos per head and 100 pesos per tent if you bring your own tent and opt for an overnight stay. They will also require you to have a tour guide (minimum rate is 100 pesos but you can tip bigger amount if you feel generous). Most tourists opt for just a day hike, but if you want to marvel at the beauty of sunrise, then I recommend for an overnight stay to witness the beautiful sunrise the following day. In the small town of Alegria in the Philippines, I woke at 3 am, gathered my gear and met our driver at the front of our hostel. For 500 Pesos per person or $10 USD we had a return trip to Osmeña Peak, the tallest peak on Cebu. The three of us crammed onto the habal-habal, which was easy on the wallet but incredibly uncomfortable on the butt cheeks. If you are a budget traveler it will be your only choice from Alegria when looking to hike Osmeña Peak, but if you have the cash rent a car or get some other way up there! Book a tour: You can do it DIY like me but there is a really good tour you can book as well. This is an easy trek with unbelievable view on top! For non-experienced climber like me, it really is a great achievement to say that I am able to climb Osmena Peak, which is incidentally the highest peak in the province of Cebu. From airport, we went directly to the peak. You need to get a guide in order to climb it. The local guide is quite friendly and took lots of great pictures of us. You can also rent bamboo walking sticks to help with your balancing. #givethanks #givethanks

Osmeña Peak is the highest mountain in Cebu. I was not able to feel the heat of the sun because of the cold atmosphere. Being said as the highest mountain, it is not that hard though to climb on top because mostly you will just ride a motorcycle or what the locals refer to as 'habal-habal'. As I trekked up the winding paths, surrounded by lush greenery and the gentle caress of the wind, I felt a sense of peace wash over me. The rugged terrain challenged me, but with each step, I felt myself growing stronger and more empowered. Reaching the summit of Osmeña Peak, I was greeted by a breathtaking view that took my breath away. The rolling hills stretched out before me, bathed in the golden light of the setting sun. In that moment, I felt a deep connection to nature and to myself. The beauty of the world seemed to reflect the beauty within me, and I realized that self-love is not just a concept, but a tangible reality that I could embrace and nurture. Sitting on the edge of the peak, with my feet dangling over the edge and the sky painting a canvas of colors above me, I closed my eyes and breathed in the crisp mountain air. Travel from the south terminal bus by the cebu-oslob bus and get off at daguate. Recommend to find a place to stay downstairs and then go up to see the sunrise in the morning. The locals' cars have to pay a fee and it is recommended to hire a guide because they will take care of us and travel the route. Entertain, give knowledge, take pictures for you. The way up is rocky and slippery soil. It takes about 1 hour to go up and down. In addition to seeing the beautiful sunrise and mist, you will also see the view of Bohol Island, Badian Beach. Even though it is in the south of Cebu, the air is cold like the picture above our home. Very impressive. 😊⛰️ #osmena #cebu

#skiadventure Osmena the highest peak in Cebu South it is really amazing view when you reach there. It takes 15-20 minutes to inorder to go there. In my case i was really excited to reach to the top . However i got difiiculty when i was in the middle i felt dizzy it was not easy to go there if you dont have exercise.But you dont you worry because there is a personal guide will go with you . I feel not good in the middle she helped me to recover easily.I just relax I think 10 minutes,After that i feel okey so i continue going there finally i reach there, I feel really good and satisfied when i reach to the peak,So nice and wonderful ..#tigeryear2022

Ask the bus driver to drop you off at Dalaguete junction. Travel time on average is 2.5 – 3 hours. As you arrive at the Dalaguete junction, there are several motorcycle-for-hire or “habal-habal” going to the jump-off point, hire one. Fare is around P120. Travel time is 45 minutes to 1 hour.
