[2025 Fukuoka Stay] Travel Guide for Oriental Hotel Fukuoka Hakata Station (Updated May)

During my 5-day free trip to Fukuoka, Kyushu, I found that the Oriental Hotel is right next to Hakata Station. It only takes two subway stops from the airport to get there. Next to the hotel, there are shopping centers, underground streets, snack bars, and department stores. The daily tour departure point is right at the hotel entrance, which is incredibly convenient. Although the rooms are small, they are very clean and well-equipped. The breakfast is also very rich and offers great value for money. At 7 AM, you can enjoy a buffet with a wide variety of delicious options. At 8 AM, you can hop on a tour bus for a day trip, and return at 6 PM to enjoy gourmet food in the underground street before heading back to the hotel to rest. The lobby even offers free sake and ramen for a late-night snack. I stayed for four consecutive nights without having to move my luggage every day. I will definitely stay at this hotel again the next time I visit Kyushu.

Renovated in 2019, the hotel is super conveniently located directly from Hakata Station Tsukushiguchi and Hakata Subway Station East Exit 4. The accommodation offers a number of dining options and a convenience store and cafe. The hotel is a 5-minute subway ride from Fukuoka Airport. There is already its own coffee shop on the floor where you check into the hotel, and welcome drinks can also be enjoyed here (takeaway is also available, but there are fewer options). There are also office workers. I opted for coffee, it turned out that the room fee also came with dessert, that day it was coffee mousse cake, delicious! The sake party was held at the Oriental Hotel in Hakata Station. The reception hall was rented out for this huge party. The amount of sake was even more generous than usual. Tempura, steak, and 100% buckwheat soba were served in the live kitchen. The bill for the day was 12,000 yen, but we were very satisfied. It is really great to choose Tigerair + Oriental Hotel! The flight time is very satisfactory. The Oriental Hotel has an excellent location. I took the shuttle bus from the airport to the domestic line to take the subway. All the instructions were very clear during the process. The hotel is next to the station. When traveling to Fukuoka, the most popular places to stay are near Hakata Station, near Tenjin Station, and near Nakasu River. All three are transportation hubs, so if you stay in one of these three areas, you can easily travel anywhere. I prioritized places with good transportation and close facilities. The place that best met these two requirements was 'Oriental Hotel Fukuoka Hakata Station'. The transportation is so good. The hotel is directly connected to the subway! You can come straight to Oriental Hotel from Exit 4 of Hakata Station. And there is a Starbucks and Lawson convenience store on the first floor of the hotel. The transportation is top-notch!!!💕 While staying at the hotel, I went to Ohori Park, Mark Is, Roppon Matsu, Anpanman Museum, Lalaport, etc., and I was able to get there and back in less than 30 minutes. Hakata Station is connected to large shopping malls such as Hankyu Department Store, Kitte Hakata, and DEITOS, so you can go shopping and sightseeing without having to go anywhere.
