Silver Grass and Stunning Sunset: An Autumn Evening at Seoul's Olympic Park
#bestsunset #100waysoftravel #olympicparkseoul #sunset #silvergrassfestival #autumn #Seoulautumn
We headed to Olympic Park in Seoul in late autumn, drawn by the allure of the silver grass fields, which are known to reach their peak beauty during this season. The park, with its expansive open spaces and winding paths, is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, especially in the autumn months when the fields turn into a sea of silver waves. To our delight, we were greeted by a stunning sunset that painted the sky in soft hues of orange, pink, and gold. The silver grass shimmered under the golden light, creating a magical atmosphere that felt almost surreal. The contrast of the vibrant sunset with the delicate, silvery grass made for the perfect scene, not just for admiring nature but also for portrait photography. Many people around us were taking advantage of the soft, warm lighting, and we couldn't resist capturing a few photos of our own. The combination of the breathtaking sunset and the serene beauty of the silver grass created an unforgettable moment, showcasing the best of Seoul’s autumn charm.

⠀
BARSEULONA is a combination of Barcelona and Seoul (Spanish: SEUL), offering a space where you can experience the lifestyle of Barcelona in Seoul.
⠀
When it comes to the best city in Europe to visit, Barcelona would be at the top of the list. The owner of this café also runs a café in Barcelona, and has brought the memories of Barcelona to Seoul. As a result, you can feel the cozy and nostalgic atmosphere unique to Europe.
⠀
During the day, it operates as a café, and at night, it turns into a bar. It's a place that arouses curiosity about the nighttime atmosphere.
⠀
During its soft opening period, only beverage menus, excluding desserts, are available. The 'Espresso Tonic,' which contains lemon juice, reminds us of the summer in Barcelona.

Autumn at Seoul Olympic Park
The Olympic Park in Seoul, with a stadium used to host tournaments during the 1988 Olympic Games, has a park at surroundings with different plants and faunas at different seasons. Olympic Park during autumn offers a stunningly beautiful scenery for visitors to enjoy the foliage. The streets surrounding the park are covered with yellow gingko trees, where every corner is a piece of art.
Many visitors were also seen to go picnic during this time, and some were seen cycling around the park. There are also many events hosted during this time with themes related to the autumn season as well. The best time to visit of early to mid November.

Spring time at Olympic Park, Seoul
The favourite season for the most, spring, is long expected after the quarter long winter, where most will enjoy the bloom and blossoms of various faunas. After the nice scene of Cherry blossoms one can expect the stunning full bloom of roses in middle of May. Seoul Olympic Park hosts Rose festival every year for visitors to enjoy the full bloom, as well as having picnic since weather has changed from cool to warm. Full bloom typically lasts 2 weeks and best time to visit is mid to end May.

Seoul's Olympic History
Seoul hosted the Olympics in 1988. Currently the main Olympic Stadium is still standing along with other venues from the games, known as the Jamsil Sports Complex. Some of the sports stadiums are still used for the sports they hosted in 1988 while the Stadium seems to host mostly soccer games and concerts. Nonetheless if you're a history/Olympic buff it's still interesting to spend an afternoon wandering around these gigantic buildings that echo the 80s era.
Nearby (30 mins walk; 15 min subway) there is also the Olympic Park, which is a nature park with a sort of gate commemorating the Games. There are further venues featured here as well. This is a bit more interesting as it's a lovely park with hills and a lake right in the heart of the city, as opposed to the Olympic Stadium which is mostly concrete. This park is also closer to Lotte World Tower so it's a good way to spend the day in Jamsil!

สวนโอลิมปิกกรุงโซล (Seoul Olympic Park)
The great exhibition from the timeline of few hundred years ago, great place to watch the place of the Olympics and to walk around. Also, the main point is it is a fantastic place to ride a bike! around the thumb and the gate of peace. Lots of place to eat also
Great place to spend a day or two with family and friends. It's beautiful and you get to learn a lot. People also bring their pets and it's just a really fun place for a picnic.
Olympic Park is an impressive leisure facility in which historic remains from the Baekje era share space with modern, state-of-the-art sports stadiums, an eco-friendly forest, and spacious grassy fields. The legacy of the 1988 Seoul Olympics, the park not only houses the country’s largest sports arena, but has also become a place where Seoul residents come to relax and unwind. #wintergetaway

Visiting Olympic Park on a Snowy Day
Another spot worth visiting on a snowy day. In the picture, the snowfall isn't too heavy, but if you go on a day with more snow, the park will be even more beautifully covered in white. The park is quite spacious, allowing you to walk around and relax comfortably. If you want to take photos, it's easy to find spots without people in the background. Besides taking photos, it's also a great place for a leisurely walk. Although it might be a bit far from the city center, it's easily accessible by train.

Seoul Olympic Park
I visited the Seoul Olympic Park in the city of Seoul to see a tree that seemed to be standing alone🌲. It looked lonely, yet also gave a strong impression, which made me feel very strange ( ; ; )
Near Incheon Airport, there was a spot where you could capture planes passing right in front of you✈️. The sunset and the plane were a perfect match, and it was very moving🥺.
In Seoul, there were many Japanese tourists, making me feel like I was always in Tokyo, but the photo spot near the airport was only frequented by locals, which made me feel very fortunate😏.

Seoul Picnic Spot, Autumn Outing at Olympic Park
📍 Olympic Park
The best place for a picnic in Songpa-gu is Olympic Park. With plenty of trees providing shade, it's perfect for laying down a mat. The park is spacious, allowing you to enjoy autumn's representative flowers such as cosmos, kochia, and silver grass, as well as roses.
On a nice day, it would be great to lay down a mat at Olympic Park and relax leisurely.

Modern Harmony with Nature: A Vibrant Journey through Olympic Park
Beijing Olympic Park is not just a landmark that bears the glory of the Olympics, but also a green space that blends modern architecture with natural landscapes. Upon entering the park, the first things that catch your eye are the majestic 'Bird's Nest' (National Stadium) and the dynamic 'Water Cube' (National Aquatics Center). These structures showcase China's exceptional achievements in architecture and engineering with their unique designs and technological feel. Being there, one can't help but feel the passion and glory of the Olympics.
What captivates me the most in the park is the vast green spaces and the expansive artificial lake. Walking along the winding paths, surrounded by dense vegetation and various flowers, you can not only feel the freshness of nature but also admire the reflection of modern buildings in the water. There are also dedicated cycling and running routes, making it a paradise for fitness enthusiasts. Whether it's the tranquility of morning exercises or the splendor when the lights come on in the evening, every moment in Olympic Park is refreshing and delightful.
Olympic Park is not just a leisure oasis in the city but also a model of harmonious coexistence between technology and ecology. Whether you're here to feel the glory of the Olympic relics or to enjoy the tranquility of nature, this place offers a new experience and emotional connection. For visitors who love sports, architecture, and natural landscapes, this is an ideal destination not to be missed.

Seoul Olympic Park is very large and great for strolling around
As a sports enthusiast, how could I miss Seoul's Olympic Park? The park is located in Bangi-dong, Songpa District, Seoul, and is a multifunctional comprehensive park built to commemorate the 1988 Summer Olympics.
The park is very large, covering more than 1.6 million square meters. It is divided into four main sections: culture and arts, sports and leisure, environment and ecology, and historical experience. It is a popular place for many Seoul citizens to relax and take a walk.
⌚️ Opening hours: The park is open to the public 24 hours a day.
🚇 Transportation: Take subway line 5 or 9 to Olympic Park Station, and you can walk directly to the park from the exit.
There are many venues inside the park, including a velodrome, weightlifting gym, gymnastics gym, fencing gym, tennis courts, and swimming pool. However, the most distinctive feature is, of course, the Olympic Hall, which houses the command control towers for the 10th Asian Games and the 24th Olympic Games. There is also a large monument symbolizing the Olympic spirit in the southern plaza.
By the way, there is also Peace Plaza centered around the Peace Gate within the park, which is a great place to relax as well.

What's more magical than beautiful cherry blossoms blanketing the skies? Cherry blossoms at sunset!
🌇 Take a sunset walk by the Olympic Park in Seoul - the park itself is very easy to navigate and everywhere you look you can see lovely cherry blossom trees arching over you, forming a charming tunnel of blooms!
🌸 While there are a lot of people trying to take photos, the blossoms are so plentiful that it's still possible to get some nice shots in. Just be careful of your surroundings as there are cyclists and sometimes small children on scooters.

Address: 424 Olympic-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul, South Korea.
Location: You can take subway and stop at the Olympic Park station.
Highlights: The Olympic Park in Seoul is a beautiful large park with many different areas and landscapes including manicured to matured wild forests, water streams and cultural buildings like museums, skating areas, etc.
The monuments and sculptures are beautiful, impressive and nostalgic. This park is less popular than Seoul Forest Park. I love the huge compound. There is a famous ginkgo street along Olympic Park too.
It's really a nice place to hang out on early summer afternoon. There are not many tourists but a lot of locals exercising and relaxing around the area who are cool to interact with.
