Soft sponge cake layered with sweet mango and creamy taro, then topped with savoury meat floss — it sounds unusual, but the combination totally works. You get the sweetness from the fruit and taro, a hint of umami from the floss, and just the right amount of cream to tie it all together. It’s creative, indulgent, and definitely one of our new favourites. Strawberry shortcake A classic done well. Instead of rice, we had ours with soft bread, perfect for dipping and mopping up every drop of curry. A nostalgic, kampung-style dish done right. Nasi Lemak Simple yet satisfying. The rice was infused with a gentle coconut fragrance, and paired with classic elements like crispy ikan bilis, peanuts, a perfectly fried egg, and sambal that leaned more sweet than spicy. It's the kind of plate that brings back school canteen memories — nothing fancy, just familiar and fulfilling. Chee Cheong Fun + Yam Cake Combo A standout! The Malabar Mosque is located at the junction of Victoria Street and Sultan Street. Located at a busy intersection, the golden onion-shaped roof of the mosque is quite eye-catching. The exterior of the mosque is a sky blue hexagonal building, a color that is also commonly seen in mosques in other regions. Since I happened to pass by and saw this beautiful mosque, I stopped and took a few photos.
