Strolling along the cobblestone streets of the old town, it feels like time slows down. The old town is beautifully lit at night, offering a unique charm! 🌅 D2: Black Dragon Pool Sunrise & Shuhe Ancient Town I woke up at 6 am to watch the sunrise at Black Dragon Pool. The ancient buildings against the backdrop of snow-capped mountains, bathed in the golden morning light, were simply breathtaking! And it's free to enter before 8 am! Afterward, I went to Shuhe Ancient Town. With fewer tourists and just the right amount of commercialization, it's a truly relaxing place. 🏡 D3: See Mountain Courtyard & Baisha Ancient Town & Yundian Cafe I took some amazing photos with the snow-capped mountains in the background from the balcony of 7Seabar! See Mountain Courtyard is a great spot to capture the sunrise illuminating the mountains, but be prepared to queue for photos in the little wooden houses. In the afternoon, I went to Yundian Cafe. With snow-capped mountains, wooden houses, and a grassy lawn, the entire cafe is a picture-perfect setting. ⛳Food Recommendations: 🌿 Muyu Ruins Restaurant The braised chicken with potatoes is absolutely divine! The chicken is stewed to tender perfection, and as a potato lover, I was instantly conquered. The qingke baba (barley cake) is also a must-try, soft and chewy with a delicious filling. I couldn't stop eating it! 🔥 Nanmo Niu Yunnan Sour Beef Hot Pot The passion fruit-flavored sour soup base is both sour and spicy, super appetizing! The snowflake beef is tender and chewy after a quick dip in the hot pot, and the yak beef is fresh and delicious. The water snowflake (water shield) adds a wonderful crispy texture. 🍄 Chijungke Wild Mushroom Hot Pot Feast The mushroom platter has a dazzling variety of mushrooms. After simmering for 25 minutes, the fragrant aroma of the mushrooms blends perfectly with the rich chicken broth. The decor gives a relaxed vibe. You can sit by the river or outside to enjoy the river view. Prices are quite high, starting at 38 yuan. Yunshanping (Figures 5, 12, 13) It is recommended to walk along the wooden plank road. Black Dragon Pool Park (Figure 6) There is no entrance fee if you enter before 7:30 in the morning. The Suocui Bridge near the West/South Gate is a great place to take photos of the sunrise over Jinshan Mountain.
