[2024 Shenzhen ] Travel Guide for Oct East Knight Valley (Updated Dec)

Day out at OCT

If you’re looking for a relaxing day trip, why not try OCT! An hour and 20 minute drive from Futian and you’ll arrive at the gates of the park (plenty of parking spaces)! The entrance fee is 200RMB (roughly) per person. You can walk up the way to the top, which would probably take 30 minutes. I caught a transport to the top (40RMB for one way in the cart). The park itself has definitely been affected by COVID as the park is in need of repair and there were parts of the park that were forgotten about and unused. If you’re taking your family there wasn’t much to do for the children other than have a run around and view the water show. You can catch a cable car to the top (for free) to view the view. The view at the top was a nice breeze and was a bit crowded. There was a small snack shop to buy popcorn , drinks and sausages but no restaurant. At the top you also have the option to catch the train down (I wouldn’t recommend - you have to wait 15-20 minutes for it and you can’t see anything on the way down). The train to the tea park was unfortunately closed when we went. Overall I would recommend going if you’re in the Dameinsha area! It was a nice trip out. #mountainview #seaview #shenzhen #cablecar

Getting There - take a Didi ride from downtown CBD, Futian, Shenzhen costs like 130rmb premier Attractions - Huaxing Temple included in OCT East, there is OCT East valley Hotels - There is Interlaken hotel, and Oasis hotel nearby Food & Restaurants - limited food choices around the area. Oct east park is a beautiful park... it has some great views topped with some fun rides... there is significant walking so bring comfortable shoes. the best way to get to the park is probably by taxi or Didi. #shenzhentravel #merrychristmas #merrychristmas

If you live in the west of Shenzhen like me, you need to run from the west to the east. The last time I came here, I took a bus. Although it's low-carbon and environmentally friendly, it's slow. This time I drove here and it felt a bit faster. When you come to the Eastern Overseas Chinese Town, you must choose a good weather. After all, there are not only entertainment facilities to play with, but also natural landscapes to appreciate. Especially when you sit on the cable car at the highest point of the Eastern Overseas Chinese Town Grand Canyon Scenic Area and shuttle through the clouds, and then stand at the highest point to watch the distant sea, you have a feeling of looking far away. Of course, playing with the facilities here is also indispensable. After all, it implements a one-ticket system. If you buy a ticket, you have to play it thoroughly. I came in in the morning and didn't leave until dusk. I didn't rest all day. After all, there are many projects to play with. But I also suggest that you don't come on weekends or holidays. According to the staff, during holidays like May 1st and October 1st, each project takes at least two hours to queue up. But I didn't queue up for any project and finished playing smoothly.
