The average water storage capacity is 76 million cubic meters per year, which is diverted through a tunnel to the southeast into Huai Thap Nakorn, a tributary of the Chanthaburi River. This water diversion creates a difference in water levels between the reservoir and Huai Thap Nakorn of 125 meters, allowing for the installation of hydropower generators with a capacity of 12,200 kilowatts, producing an average of 27 million kilowatt-hours per year.
