#uktrip We had a fantastic time at Nottingham Castle Museum & Art Gallery! It’s the perfect mix of art and history, set in a beautiful location with amazing views over the city. The art collection is really impressive, with a great mix of classic and modern works. We were lucky to catch the Claude Monet exhibition! Seeing Monet’s work up close, along with paintings from other famous Impressionist artists like Renoir and Pissarro, was an incredible experience. The history exhibits are just as good. The museum does a great job of telling Nottingham’s story, from medieval times to the present. There’s lots about Robin Hood, the castle’s past, and even some underground caves to explore! The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the whole place had a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. It’s easy to walk around, and there’s plenty to see without feeling overwhelmed. If you’re visiting Nottingham, this museum is a must-see! Whether you love art, history, or just exploring cool places, you won’t be disappointed. Entry price for adult £15 per person and additional £5 for the caves which takes around 45mins.

Learn about crime and punishment in Nottingham in this well-preserved courthouse, which features Georgian cells and medieval dungeons, as well as mock court trials scheduled every day. Walk from the Museum of Justice to the Olde Trip to Jerusalem, one of Britain’s oldest and most iconic pubs, steeped in folklore and history. Because of time constraints, I didn't go in and order a beer and sit for a while. We walked towards Nottingham Castle again and saw the Robin Hood Statue, a local legend with a lot of fact and fiction. The walk ends with a look at the history of Nottingham Castle, which is crucial to the history of the British monarchy and was also the site of rebellion and murder!

Nottingham Castle is not too big, but there is a small museum inside, which is just right for people like me who don’t have much patience for visiting museums but still want to take a look. It’s partly about the history of Nottingham, and partly about the origins and legend of Robin Hood. A lot of information is also presented in the form of videos and stories, which is not boring at all. I really appreciate it! There is also a playground for kids to climb outdoors, and I found a place that looks like the place where Robin Hood meets his followers, sitting on the "Emperor Chair" and eating English dessert cream bun, sigh ~ Nottingham Castle admission fee is £12, unlimited entry throughout the year. You can add £5 to join a Cave Tour, but please pay attention to the specific tour times of the tour.

food was amazing and I love everything about it.. had a beautiful day there and I will recommend it to anyone who goes there.. staff people are lovely and especially in the summer was great and warm with blue sky.. so if your up for a great break I do recommend this to anyone, make sure you carry water which I highly recommend to anyone and check out the tourist site too which was amazing
