[2025 Yonezawa Stay] Travel Guide for Nishiya (Updated May)

Breakfast at Yutaki no Yado Nishiya~🍚 I was happy that the miso soup was properly warmed up at the time I decided in advance!!! Introducing the family bath (private bath) at Yutaki no Yado Nishiya in Shirabu Onsen, Yamagata~♨️ A transparent hot spring full of hot spring deposits, it was a family bath that you could use as many times as you like for free from check-in until 9:30 the next morning🫠 The water is a little hotter than the large bath, so you can add water and adjust the temperature to your liking♨️ *Please be careful not to leave the water running or make it too warm as there will be other people coming in next⚠️ Also, the family bath does not have a shower or faucet, so you have to scoop up the hot spring water from the tub with a bucket and pour it over your head to wash your hair! Introducing the indoor bath at Yutaki no Yado Nishiya in Shirabu Onsen, Yamagata ♨️ Shirabu Onsen gushes out 1,500 liters per minute, and Nishiya uses 400 liters of that, so the water in the bath was constantly flowing 😳 It is a free-flowing hot spring that is not heated or disinfected, and the water is very soft, so my skin felt moisturized after the bath 🫠 *The source is hot, so they add water to make it just the right temperature. The large bath is only an indoor bath, but it is designed so that you can feel the outside breeze, so you can cool down when you get out of the bath, and you can also enjoy a little outdoor bath feeling 🌱 Also, to have the experience of the hot spring cure of those days, there are no showers or faucets, so you can scoop up the hot spring water in a bucket and pour it over your head to wash your hair! Introducing the room we stayed in at the Shirabu Onsen ♨️ Yutaki no Yado Nishiya, "Harae no Ma Nishiki"! 🏠Harae no Ma Nishiki This is the room at the very back of Nishiya, and is a 10 tatami + 8 tatami Japanese-style room! It's about 70 steps up from the front desk, so just going back and forth between the room and the large bath is like a walk 🙆♀️ Perhaps because it's at the very back, we didn't notice any noise from the hallway or other rooms, and it was very quiet, just the right room to relax in! The futons are laid out during dinner, so if you're full, I recommend lounging around on them 🤤 (I fell asleep and was in bed at 9pm 😂 Even though you can use the hot springs all night, I couldn't use them at night...) I went to Yutaki no Yado Nishiya, which I had been interested in for a long time after seeing the website of the Society for Preserving Secret Hot Springs!!! Shirabu Onsen in Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture ♨️ Yutaki no Yado Nishiya. This inn is proud of its hot spring waterfall, where you can bathe in the spring water that flows from Nishiazuma in a spectacular way. The rooms in this quaint thatched inn have been renovated and are very clean. The hot water was also very good. Although there is no toilet or bath in the room, we were able to spend a very relaxing time.
