🇯🇵 Nishinomiya Shrine, Hyogo Prefecture ⛩️ This shrine is the head shrine of the whole country, and enshrines Ebisu, who is worshipped as the god of prosperity in business. He is also worshipped as the god of fortune, and the "Toka Ebisu" festival from January 9th to 11th is crowded with 1 million worshippers every year. The "Opening Ceremony Lucky Man Selection" held in the early morning of January 10th is particularly famous. It is also known for being the place where the Hanshin Tigers visit to pray for victory before the official spring professional baseball game. The 247m-long Ooneribei wall, built during the Muromachi period, and the main gate, donated by Toyotomi Hideyori in 1604, are both designated as Important Cultural Properties of Japan.
