[Osaka] An experiential "living museum" that uses aquariums and zoos as art to be enjoyed by both children and adults
This is a museum in Osaka Expo Park.
"Nifrel" produced by Kaiyukan
I don't particularly want to go to normal aquariums or zoos lol
Nifrel's concept is "touching the senses" and the theme is "diversity".
It's designed to be enjoyed by each viewer with their own senses, and it's a completely different approach from previous aquariums and zoos, so you can feel nature and creatures like you're enjoying art.
I'm curious, right?
Previous aquariums and zoos recreated the environment of each creature,
separated creatures by climate,
and explained their ecology, but
Nifrel changed the installations by zone,
and it was "fun!"
The themes were "color", "skills", "swimming", "WONDER MOMENTS", "hiding", "water", "movement", and "connection".
I spent a long time in "swimming" and "WONDER MOMENTS".
The lighting in the "swimming" zone was dark and mysterious.
I also liked the Leandro Erlich-esque worldview that continued infinitely inside the mirror.
The first one was a stylish installation where the ripples of water droplets were projected onto the ceiling and walls, drawing attention to the movement of the fish with their shadows instead of the fish.
I want this. I want to run a store like this.
I wish this place was an adult zone though~
The atmosphere was so bad with kids running around and screaming...lol
"WONDER MOMENTS" zone This was also a work by Matsuo Takahiro that I wanted to watch forever. It's not a planetarium, nor is it a theater. It's light art that you won't find in art galleries or museums.
Looking up from below gives you a different atmosphere than looking down from above.
This spherical image, which no one has ever done before? Four stories are projected onto a 5-meter diameter sphere and a circular screen with a diameter of 8 meters at the base.
Water sculptures, interactive installations of nature, symbols of development, and a magnificent story of traveling through the galaxy and space. Here too, the kids were screaming, running around, and lying down, lol. It looked like fun. I wish adults could lie down too, lol.
