With his military brilliance, Tran Hung Dao led the Vietnamese Army to several victories over the Yuan Dynasty in the 13th century. Inside the temple, people are praying. Next to it have a 2 bid specimens of turtle. You can read the history of the turtle. From this small island, you can see a small temple in the lake. They will light on the light after sunset. Amazing location, amazing atmosphere and windy too. I'm sure you will want to come here again. It is must visit place in Hanoi.

If you weren’t already aware, the difference between a temple and pagoda is that temples are place to remember the dead spiritually through offerings and pagodas are more strict in what you can wear and how you can pray. This was a temple I didn’t require any restrictions on what items of clothing you should wear. The ticket was equivalent to $1, it was worth a visit on a beautiful sunny day. Beautiful temple! Must visit! Also take a walk around the lake. And if possible, stay till after sundown when the little temple gets lit up. Nice place for an evening stroll or just to sit by the lake on the benches. Went there during August, so was a bit rainy, but still a great experience!
