[2025 Milan Attraction] Travel Guide for Naviglio Grande (Updated May)

Milan is an exciting but expensive city (especially compared to other Italian cities). I stayed here for just 2 days, but I managed to walk around almost the entire city… and spend nearly all my money 😅 My three-star hotel near the central train station cost a little over €100 per night! 📍Places I managed to visit: 1. Duomo di Milano – it’s better to buy your ticket online. I recommend taking the stairs instead of the elevator — there are usually no queues. 2. Pinacoteca di Brera 3. Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II 4. Navigli district 5. Eataly and Bosco Verticale 6. Castello Sforzesco 7. Starbucks Reserve Roastery: prices are higher than in regular cafés, but the interior is really interesting. 🚇How to get around the city: Public transport isn’t very cheap either. A daily metro ticket costs around €3. To let me fully experience the fashion atmosphere of Milan, the hotel specially arranged a private shopping experience, where I could choose my favorite items in La Rinascente, which is connected to the cathedral, with a wide range of international brands and a fragrance area that is mesmerizing. The scent of Maison Francis Kurkdjian is like magic, with each perfume being a carefully crafted work of art, exuding a unique fragrance and story. In addition, the hotel also arranged a Milanese ice cream and pizza making experience at Towns of Italy, where I followed the steps of a professional chef, from kneading the dough to spreading the sauce, and then sprinkling with rich cheese and fresh vegetables, to personally experience the fun of making. ✅Attraction recommendation: 1. Transportation To get to the Milan Canal District, you can take tram "No. 10" or "No. 12" from Milan Central Station or Milan Cathedral to "Naviglio Grande", or take Metro Line 2 to "P.TA Genova FS Station" and exit the station.
