#mysgmemories Address - 93 Stamford Rd, Singapore 178897 Ambiance / highlights - Glass Rotunda Rating - 5/5 My hubby and I were very impressed with the story of the forest glass rotunda show. The bright beautiful colours bring us to the past of the fort canning park where we get close to the animals there. For that moment, I really feel like I am bad to the past and living in the fairy dream land. It is really a very worthy place to visit. The glass rotunda is located at the national museum. The opening hours are until 6pm in the evening.

Night Festival National Museum
#mysgmemories My hubby and I walked from Armenian Street towards the national museum of Singapore. We went during the evening time and that's when the show starts. We watched the story of Sang nila utama and how Singapore was founded during the days. We stood there for about half an hour to watch the show. The place was crowded on the weekends. It is also a great place to take some insta-worthy pictures to put onto my Instagram account. Next year my hubby and I will come back again to see the night festival at the national museum of Singapore.

Night Festival 2023 at National Museum
#mysgmemories My favourite thing at Night Festival that one will not missed would be the projections at National Museum of Singapore since its only something that doesn’t happen everyday. To follow the 2023’s themed which is Singapore, the Great Port City, this year’s projection is a story line that happens every 15 mins. Versus previous years where it is about every 5 mins our wait. The story talks about Sang Nila Utama sacrificing his crown and finally how he found Singapore after a thunderstorm. Near by is an installation A Stone’s throw away which is in relation to the Singapore stone that was blew up. Opposite the museum is where the food and beverage area are, however we chose not to enter this year to avoid the bag check.

#singaporetrip A well told story of Singapore origin and pivotal moments in history that has led to the bustling place that it is today. The display is chronologically based with the 1st floor being the 18th century then to the arrival of Britain to the development of a major port then to the fall to the Japanese then the separation from Malaysia and being independent to what is it today as the modern Singapore. There is a Story of the Forest exhibit in the Glass Rotunda on level 2 - best for small kids. The types of tree display was useful as help to identified the type of specimens a lot of the old trees around Singapore. The Café Brera at Reunion is a nice and cosy place to grab something to snack or chill out. #singapore #museum

#singapore Great place to visit to learn more about Singapore history and other ongoing exhibitions. The place is well maintained and managed.Went here to be enlightened how this little nation turned out to be one of the most successful country in a short span of time, was not disappointed. The interior is amazing as well. It is also connected to Fort Canning which will give you more insights of their history. A must-visit for both locals and tourists. Wonderful exhibits which appeal to all ages, from young to old. Always love the changing exhibitions - we visited the On/Off exhibition this time showcasing technologies from the 1970s to the 2000s.

the ongoing exhibitions at the National Musuem of Singapore showcase the history of Singapore - from the 1800s when it was still a fishing village till what it is today. it's interesting to look through the exhbits to see how Singspore slowly gained her independence and the development thereafter. a good way to learn history especially for the young children.

This is one of my favourite exhibition at National Museum of Singapore in 2022. For those who are familiar with this famous Japanese manga, you will get to understand more about the artists’s memories of Doraemon and enjoy distinctive artworks of this Japan’s famous icon. There is a desk replica to show where Doraemon was drawn by Mr Fujiko Fujio. You can also enjoy some treat at the Doraemon cafe at the end of the tour. #singapore

My husband and I were walking past in the area and saw that there was a pretty interesting exhibition happening just outside the National Museum of Singapore. There were many interactive booths about different milestone achievements and others that were giving out free stuff too. My husband managed to win a yellow bag while I received a facial cleanser kit, not bad! My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #singapore #tripblazers #tripmoments

Classy museum with colonial architecture, restored very well and has a nice heritage feel. Entry to main displays are free but have some paid areas. There is also a restaurant inside the museum itself where they serve mainly western type of food. Very delicious and well done. Overall, a very pleasant ambience to walk through or dine. Quite child-friendly as well. #singapore

Doraemon Exhibition at National Museum
Went to the Doraemon Exhibition at the National Museum of Singapore with my girlfriend. First thing to note was when we purchased the ticket from Klook, they had different bundles, when I was buying, they only had standard tickets and the bundle with dorayaki which was cheaper. BUTTT they had another bundle that gave a Doraemon Lanyard!! We were disappointed that we couldn’t get it there as they said it was limited to the bundle purchased online. I feel the lanyard was more worth it as the dorayaki can be bought. So choose wisely when selecting the bundle, if you don’t see it there, I suggest you wait it out. But the dorayaki was really delicious though, and you can see the person making it so carefully with all his heart, making it taste even better.

The Doraemon Exhibition (relive my memories)
Doraemon was my favourite television show when I was younger. I have read many of the mangas, scrambled to watch the series when it was played on tv program channel 8 in Singapore every weekend and watched many of its movies when they were released. Therefore, when this exhibition was announced I immediately bought tickets and it did not disappoint. The exhibition showcased the creative writing and creation process of the many funny, loving and sad stories/movies that that led the the many famous Doraemon mangas, series and movies. It also showcased the many loved and famous characters like nobita, shizuka, gian and suneo as well as the iconic locations in the series such as Nobia and Doraemon's House and room, and the classroom of the school where the kids studied. At one part of the exhibition, you can even purchase Doraemon's favourite food: Dorayaki!!!! It was super heavenly and delicious. If you love Doraemon as much as I do, when you were a child and still do, do head down to National museum of Singapore to relive your memories again. It is being held till 5th February 2023 #singapore #doraemon

There's 3 parts to the exhibition - 2 in the basement showcasing artwork on canvas, statues and interactive art; and 1 on level 1 showcasing manga comic and the original desk of the creator. #doraemon exhibition is on from now till February 2023 at National Museum of Singapore. #nationalmuseumofsingapore it’s interesting to see how different artists portray Doraemon in different forms. there is even the playing with lights and shadow forms, which is really pretty! original manga pieces from the late author is also exhibited, I like how all of the manga pieces come with English translations. although I have seen them before at the Doraemon museum in japan, I could not fully understand all the manga then. highly recommend everyone to visit the exhibition to see for yourself the different forms of Doraemon!
