Connected to each other, they are situated on a steep slope at an altitude of 1700 meters. These temples were once imperial monasteries during the Yuan dynasty and were expanded during the Ming and Qing dynasties. At first glance, the halls of Nanshan Temple resemble the cave dwellings of Shanxi's local residences rather than a monastery, giving off a worldly vibe. Continuing straight up 108 steps from Nanshan Temple, you reach Youguo Temple, which stands high and commands an impressive presence. Both temples feature exquisite stone carvings and clay sculptures that are vivid, masterful, and grand. Standing in front of the highest stone archway, facing the undulating green mountain peaks, the view is breathtaking. At dusk, the deep and solemn chanting from Youguo Temple resonates, spreading in circles beyond the temple, from the ethereal Buddhist realm within the mountains to the tangible, worldly realm beyond.

||Basking in the spring breeze in the small city of Zhangzhou is quite delightful. I can't help but exclaim how comfortable it is. Strolling around, I've enjoyed many delicious foods, and the ancient city is also perfect for a post-meal walk. The most memorable was the Ah Jun tofu noodle soup I had right after getting off the high-speed train, as well as the mochi. It's been two days since I left the city, yet I find myself missing it. Shopping for clothes in a local store, I met a kind-hearted shop owner who even gave me a fridge magnet as a gift. I visited the Nanshan Temple, where the red ribbons on top of the buildings fluttered in the wind, and the temple was home to various types of small animals. The natural symphony played by the birds was also extremely pleasant to the ear, making everything feel spirited. After finishing the last part of my journey, I sat by the lake at the temple entrance, feeling so tired and comfortable that I wanted to fall asleep.
