Wuxi-Nanjing (3D2N Travel Guide)
🏨Hotel: WAIT·Lanting (Xinjiekou) Close to the subway, but poor soundproofing, not recommended
🚄High-speed rail: Wuxi-Nanjing (round trip)
👔Temperature: 2-16°C, coat and sweater, very hot in the sun
🍽️Food: Egg burger for lunch 🍔 so-so / Li Ji Halal Beef Potstickers 🥟 and Shrimp 🍤 Wonton, highly recommended, super delicious / Zhang Yun Salted Duck 🦆 (Xinjiekou Branch) tastes good / Jin Tong Ji Beef Potstickers are delicious 😋 / Tea Yanyue Se is everywhere and tastes good / Aunt Jasmine's Nanjing Tu Cai Wang's dishes are also good / Jasmine Flower Cake is also good, pistachio flavor is delicious 😋 / Plum Blossom Cake is not good
Day1️⃣: Xinjiekou-Fuzimiao-Qinhuai River
Xinjiekou is full of delicious food and a strong sense of life. We ate duck for three days. In general, the duck shops that can open in Nanjing are good! Fuzimiao is a commercial street. The night view of Qinhuai River is good, you can go and have a look 👀
🚗Transportation: Subway/bike
Day2️⃣: Wutong Avenue-Zhongshan Mausoleum 0💰-Meiling Palace 30💰
We took 🚇Line 2 and got out at Exit 1 of Muxuyuan Station. When we got out, we turned right and saw the first traffic light, then turned left to Wutong Avenue. Wutong Avenue runs through these attractions. The road is long, you can rent an electric bike, and there are many photo spots to choose from. Zhongshan Mausoleum needs to be reserved online for free. There are 392 steps. The view from the top is amazing 👏. We didn't go to the Music Stage, but went directly to Meiling Palace. We visited the villa built by Chiang Kai-shek for Soong Mei-ling. It was so luxurious and worth a visit. After visiting these places, we were too tired and went back to the hotel.
Day3️⃣: Hongshan Zoo-Home
🎫Ticket: 40/person
There is luggage storage at the station, 20💰/day. The zoo is quite large, and it takes about four or five hours to visit. There are many pirated toys for sale at the entrance, it is recommended to buy them inside. There were a lot of people on Saturday, and there were long queues at many check-in spots. We waited for half an hour to take a photo at the Fat Tiger check-in spot. I personally think Gondwana is more fun. Dudu and Kapibara are there, as well as flamingos and Gaoligong, which are super cute. There were too many people watching the giant pandas 🐼, so we gave up directly 😭

A fairytale-like forest kingdom.
Hongshan Forest Zoo is amazing! The environment here is really great, with lush green trees. It's completely different from the traditional zoo, which feels stiff. Every corner is full of vitality and the breath of nature. It feels like visiting the animals' home. Hand-painted science popularization can be seen everywhere, and the semi-open park. Whether you can see cute animals depends on luck. Fortunately, I saw many popular stars!
I highly recommend rushing to the east gate early on the weekend to see the koala 🐨 weighing! The breeder gently put the koala, who just woke up, on the tree fork. The koala is so cute! I remember that neither of the two zoos in Beijing has koalas.
At this time, you can go to Gaoligong to see the red pandas. Gaoligong is the name of a region, and so is the Gondwana behind it. Four red pandas are eating outside! I didn't do enough research. After watching the red pandas, I can go to see Wang Xiaobai. Leave a regret...
After visiting the Gondwana area, I saw the legendary Dudu, little monkeys, lizards, mynas, toucans Lula, capybaras in the tropical area... This area is worth visiting! It's also a place with a lot of people.
At this time, walking to the north gate, you will see a lot of people, and even the strollers are rented out. I bought embroidery badge blind boxes and postcards in the cafe, and badge fridge magnets in the cultural and creative store. Hongshan is so good at making cultural and creative products! I want to take everything away...
I hope Beijing Zoo and Beijing Wildlife Park can learn from Hongshan! I understand why Hongshan is so popular. The director is really a great person, creating a dream zoo that you want to visit again!

與自然共舞:南京紅山森林動物園之旅
Stepping into Nanjing Hongshan Forest Zoo feels like entering a vibrant natural paradise. The park is lush with greenery, filled with the sounds of birds and the fragrance of flowers. The fresh air, accompanied by a gentle breeze, lifts your spirits. Here, you can see a variety of animals, from polar bears playing in the pool to tigers and leopards leisurely strolling through the forest, and groups of primates agilely moving through the trees. Each animal exhibit is designed to replicate their natural habitats, making you feel as if you are in their home.
In the Panda House, I watched the adorable pandas munching on bamboo, their cute demeanor attracting many visitors to stop and take photos. The Hongshan Forest Zoo also features bird shows, where colorful birds fly through the air and interact with the audience, showcasing the wonders of nature. This journey not only deepened my understanding of animal behavior but also highlighted the importance of wildlife conservation. Walking through this park, where nature and culture intertwine, felt like a return to the innocence of childhood, experiencing the beauty and vitality of life.

I visited the Hongshan Forest Zoo and finally figured it out.
The Hongshan Forest Zoo has many features.
Basic information:
Location: No. 168 Heyan Road, Xuanwu District, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province.
Area: The zoo covers an area of about 1,026 acres (about 0.68 square kilometers) and is one of the important specialized parks in Nanjing.
History:
In 1998, the "Xuanwu Lake Zoo" was officially relocated to Hongshan Park and renamed "Hongshan Forest Zoo".
Three scenic areas:
Xiaohongshan Area: Located in the western part of the park, the main attractions are the Hornbill Pavilion and the Crane Garden.
The Crane Garden is located in the northwest of Xiaohongshan. It uses a stainless steel net structure to display red-crowned cranes, white storks, white egrets, silver gulls and other birds. The Hornbill Pavilion is located in the southeast of the Crane Garden, providing birds with a wild environment and displaying hornbills, crowned hornbills, peacocks, etc.
Dahongshan Area: Located in the north-central part of the park, there are many venues. From west to east, there are the Giant Panda Pavilion, Meerkat Pavilion, Native Species Conservation Area, Wolf Pavilion, Giraffe Pavilion, Monkey Mountain, Tiger Pavilion, Chinese Cat Pavilion, Cat Planet, Bear Pavilion, etc.
Animal species:
- As of 2020, there are nearly 300 representative and rare animals in the world, with more than 4,000 animals. There are white tigers imported from Germany, koalas imported from Australia, chimpanzees imported from South Africa, and penguins imported from Antarctica.
There are also many national protected animals, such as giant pandas, golden monkeys, gibbons, black leaf monkeys, red-crowned cranes, Northeast tigers, red pandas, river deer, Yangtze alligators, etc.
Venue features:
Giant Panda Pavilion: It was established in 2008 and completed the upgrade and renovation in 2017, with a total area of 3,000 square meters. There are bedrooms, living rooms and outdoor sports fields of different sizes. The third sports field uses the original terrain and vegetation of Dahongshan to create an ecological environment similar to the wild habitat of giant pandas.
Meerkat Pavilion: Built in 2012, the area is about 572 square meters.

Finally, I came to Nanjing Hongshan Forest Zoo with my heart in my heart. (ad Ticket price: (You can check the tickets on Trip.com app before going)
The price, there may be discounts) On the day I went, there weren't many people, but there were also a lot of them. For me, as a small and short person, The zoo is very large, divided into green and red areas.
Private cars can enter but can only drive in the red area. It is recommended to rent a car for easy play. If you do not want to rent a car, you can also take the scenic spot sightseeing bus, but it is not convenient to rent a car during the tour time.
The environment of the zoo is good

Nanjing Two-Day Tour Super Detailed Guide
Nanjing Two-Day Tour Super Detailed Guide
Laomendong:
Transportation: Subway 🚇 Wudingmen Station, then about a 12min walk
Ticket: Free
Suitable for eating special snacks, buying special products in the commercial historical and cultural district, less crowded than Confucius Temple, and the night view is also very beautiful. It takes about 25 minutes to walk to Confucius Temple.
Jiming Dumplings (Laomendong Store): Bought a set meal online for 116¥, including steamed chicken feet with black bean sauce, red bean glutinous rice balls, duck blood vermicelli soup, mushroom steamed dumplings, prawn soup dumplings, chicken broth dumplings, all of which are sweet, but unexpectedly the most amazing was the red bean glutinous rice balls. The red beans were very soft, and the small glutinous rice balls were chewy, the porridge was lightly sweet, not greasy at all.
Confucius Temple/Qinhuai River:
Transportation: Subway 🚇 Confucius Temple Station
Ticket: Free
Qinhuai River runs through the Confucius Temple commercial district, the lights at night are very beautiful, there are super many Nanjing special snacks and special products, such as salted duck, plum blossom cake, duck blood vermicelli, etc. However, the Jiangnan Gongyuan · Imperial Examination Museum inside costs 50¥/person, half price for students; Confucius Temple · Dacheng Hall 30¥/person.
The food streets on both sides are a little cheaper than the main street, plum blossom cake 5¥/piece, glutinous rice balls with red dates, raisins, and red bean paste, only the shape is like a plum blossom, sweet and glutinous.
Jinghua Dumplings (Lock Gold Village Second Store):
Heard it's cleaner than the first store, ordered chrysanthemum leaf dumplings + original flavor dumplings, cost 28¥, thin skin and juicy, chrysanthemum leaf ones have a bit of wild vegetable taste, better with chili and vinegar. There's also free soy milk to drink in the store.
Hongshan Zoo:
Transportation: Subway 🚇 Line 1 Hongshan Zoo Station
Ticket: 40¥/person, half price for students and children
Business hours: 8:00-18:30.
Food: There are many snack bars at the north gate and across the road, Mixue Bingcheng, KFC, duck shops, noodle houses, roujiamo shops, etc.
Tour: Out of the subway, walk 5min to the north gate of the zoo, there are stalls selling animal plush toys at the subway entrance, very cute and relatively cheap, tested to bargain. The park is very large, and it takes about four hours to visit. Popular animals are mainly in the Dahongshan and Fangniushan areas. The animals inside are super interesting, the popular ones include pandas in the panda pavilion, white-faced saki monkey Dudu in Gondwana, red pandas in Gaoligong, and Jasmine in the koala pavilion. Each cultural and creative store is also good to visit, popular animal IP products often sell out. There are also food plazas, elephant-shaped markets, and cartoon animal check-ins in the park.
Luggage storage: Free lockers on the left side of the north gate, charged by the hour on the right, small locker 3¥/h, medium locker 5¥/h, large locker 7¥/h; you can also store it in the front store, bags 10¥, luggage 20¥, no time limit.
Xu's Duck Shop:
Across from Hongshan Zoo, recommended online. A quarter of a duck, 19¥, poured with sauce (tastes a bit like the sweet bean sauce dipped with Peking duck), quite delicious, maybe the duck skin would be crisper and better if it was just made, sweet taste. There are also other duck shops nearby, if there are many people, you can try other shops.
Teng's Noodle House:
Across from Hongshan Zoo, online recommendation ➕1⃣️. Ordered the three delicacies noodles, 18¥, salty and spicy, plenty of ingredients, satisfying the love of spicy food for northerners.
