What did Confucius look like in the Han Dynasty?
From the exhibits in the Haihunhou Museum, we can see what Confucius looked like 2,000 years ago. It is said that Confucius was 9 feet 6 inches tall, a burly man. He was a strong man, a typical Shandong man. In this mirror, we can see what people in the Han Dynasty thought Confucius looked like. It is truly eye-opening.

Nanchang Haihunhou Museum
The Haihunhou Museum is truly spectacular. There are not many Han Dynasty tombs that have been preserved, as most of them have been looted. However, the Haihunhou Tomb has been preserved thanks to the expansion of Poyang Lake, which submerged the entire tomb and made it difficult for people to loot it. Thanks to this historical accident, we have the opportunity to witness the treasures of the Haihunhou Han Tomb and learn about the culture and humanity of the Han Dynasty.

Nanchang Haihunhou, a 3-day, 2-night food tour.
Traveling in Nanchang, be careful when visiting the Haihunhou Tomb, it has a strong aftertaste.
A 36-hour weekend trip to Nanchang
Half a day visiting the Haihunhou Tomb, I was in a state of "ah ah" the whole time... All I saw was gold, bronze, and chime performances, it was so worth it, you must go see it!
I have compiled a list of the six meals I had in Nanchang over two days... If you're interested, you can copy it, none of them are particularly spicy, suitable for all ages, and very delicious!

Haihunhou Museum.
The Nanchang Han Dynasty Haihunhou State Site Museum is located in Guanxi Village, Datangping Township, Xinjian District, Nanchang City. It is a national first-class museum, exhibiting various precious cultural relics such as goldware, bronzeware, jadeware, bamboo slips, and wooden tablets.
The basic exhibition is: Golden Haihun - Exhibition of the History and Culture of the Han Dynasty Haihunhou State. It comprehensively displays the history and culture of the Haihunhou State, reflects the daily life of the Western Han royal family and marquises, and embodies the culture of the Haihunhou State.
The collection of exquisite cultural relics includes the "Liu He" Chi Button Jade Seal, Bear-shaped Stone Inlay, Lacquered Mirror with Picture of Confucius and His Disciples, "Hai" Character Bronze Seal, Argali Pattern Silver Horse Ke, Gold Cake, Horse Hoof Gold, etc.

Liu He, known as 'old money,' and his Haimao Marquis Museum, the museum with the most gold
The first-generation Marquis of Haihun, Liu He, grandson of Emperor Wu of Han, was a true embodiment of 'old money.' His tomb unearthed hundreds of kilograms of gold, more than ten tons of copper coins, as well as countless bronze vessels and musical instruments, giving concrete form to the phrase 'the bells toll and the cauldrons sing' with his wealth. Thanks to his financial power, the Haihun Marquis Heritage Site Museum has become a top attraction in Nanchang, and even a Han dynasty emperor with little presence, Liu He, now has a namesake documentary titled 'The Marquis of Haihun,' which I highly recommend watching before visiting.
The museum is quite far from the city center, so it's advisable to refer to the official WeChat account for transportation guidance. Following the guide, I took the subway from Nanchang West Station to Changjiang Road, then a taxi to the museum, which cost 80 yuan. For the return trip, I took bus 666 to the subway station. When I visited, the buses back to the city center departed at 14:30, 16:00, and 17:00, so plan your time accordingly, as it's difficult to hail a taxi for the return journey.

The millennium Haihunhou, underground luxury and waste. When I opened my eyes, it was the first time I saw so much gold, and I also had a more intuitive understanding of Haihunhou Liu He. The large number and high value of the unearthed cultural relics from his tomb are also very rare.
