Rest, Namhansanseong Drive🍃
Just a little way out of Seoul,
the noise of the city center changes to the whisper of the forest.
When I open the window slightly along the winding road,
the scent of pine trees and the wind gently approach.
The sunlight breaks through the leaves,
and the desire to go somewhere
naturally makes me look up at the sky.
As my heart and speed slowly increase along the winding mountain road,
I arrive at Namhansanseong.
Under the old stone wall,
in a landscape where time seems to have stopped,
a warm smell tickles my nose.
The traditional Korean table, where the soup deepens over a wood fire,
is filled with sincerity from the fingertips,
and the scent of acorn jelly, sesame oil,
and the warmth of the soybean paste in a pot
warms my insides.
In a small bakery hidden beneath the mountain,
freshly baked bread gives off steam. Neither sweet nor salty,
Just the honest and warm taste of flour.
The sunlight from the forest seeps through the crispy croissants,
and the coffee resembles a gentle conversation.
As you walk along the stone wall road,
and savor the warmth that remains in your mouth,
you realize that this is not just a travel destination,
but a place of small comfort.

The view from inside looking down on Haenggung was also great, and the appearance of the palace with its tiled roof and wooden structure was so beautiful.

Namhansanseong at the end of winter
The charm of Namhansanseong near Seoul, which is neither too difficult nor too far away, is not the best place for those who enjoy romance. Looking at the opposite ridge from the top, this place, which was the last refuge of the old king, is beautiful, but on the other hand, it makes you feel bitter. When you reach the bottom of the mountain fortress, you can drink a bowl of makgeolli with doritang in a tile-roofed house with an old charm, and it seems like there is no such luxury.
