Mice Amusement Park (named Myszogród in Polish) is the only attraction of this kind on the map of Zakopane. Myszogród is a unique place inhabited by small mice that can be watched for hours, because they are located behind glass panes. The mice in Myszogrod are placed in showcases showing various fairy-tale sceneries (such as library, little Zakopane, cablecar and many more) All these exhibitions are over 200m². Here you can see mice of many species, colors and sizes (from super small to pretty big mice). From Zakopane train station, you can take a minibus for about 40 minutes to the Morskie Oko parking lot. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by a sea of parked cars and long lines of people buying tickets, a testament to its popularity as Zakopane's most visited attraction. The walk from the parking lot to Morskie Oko is approximately 8.3 km, mostly on gently sloping asphalt roads. A round trip, including a walk around the lake, totals about 20 km. Alternatively, you can opt for a paid horse-drawn carriage ride. We chose to hike up and down the mountain. The forest on the left side is likely the Slovakian border. Enjoying the scenery along the way, the hike wasn't too exhausting, and we reached the lake in about two hours. Upon first sight of the Eye of the Sea, the lake's water shimmers in clear, gradient shades of blue under the sunlight, surrounded by towering mountains. The highest peak, Rysy, though partially veiled by clouds, still exudes grandeur. The entire lake area is indeed breathtaking. Morskie Oko is the largest lake in the Tatra Mountains and a magnet for tourists. The lakeside is bustling with visitors. We found a rock to sit on by the lake, enjoying the stunning view while having lunch. After circling the lake, we retraced our steps back to the parking lot.

I bought a package ticket for Gubałówka + Butorowy cable cars and took the cable car up to Gubałówka Mountain, which is about 1,100 meters above sea level. The cable car only takes about 4-5 minutes to get up the mountain. I didn't expect this to be a popular tourist attraction. There were crowds of people on the mountain, and restaurants and vendors lined up everywhere. Facing the endless mountains, it was a pity that there was not much leisurely viewing space. The hiking distance to the Butorowy Cable Car Station is only about 2.5 kilometers. You need to walk along a busy road with many street vendors, which makes you feel like you are in Kenting Street. The Butorowy cable car is a ski chairlift that takes about 10 minutes to ride. From the cable car you can enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery of the Tatra Peaks. #AprilGoodDestinations2025

Last year, for the first time, I visited the Tatra Mountains and Zakopane with my friends — and honestly, it completely stole my heart. The beauty of this place, the fresh mountain air, the snow-capped peaks — it left such a deep impression on me that the desire to return never really left. So this year, we’ve already planned our return for mid-June — and I’m incredibly excited. I can’t wait to compare the emotions and sensations from last year to what this next trip will bring. One of the most breathtaking spots was, of course, Morskie Oko — the famous lake nestled among majestic peaks. And if that wasn’t enough, we hiked even higher to reach the incredible Czarny Staw pod Rysami (Black Lake under Rysy). It felt like we were standing in a painting — the sparkling, mirror-like water reflecting the towering mountains all around us. It was pure magic. The contrast of white snow on the peaks and the deep, glacial blue of the lakes — it’s something that simply stays with you forever. Even now, just thinking about it gives me goosebumps. Whether you’re an experienced hiker, a nature lover, or just someone looking to breathe in some serenity — I can’t recommend this destination enough. It’s peaceful, powerful, and unforgettable. Along the way, you can enjoy the natural scenery, rolling mountains and waterfalls. You can also take a horse-drawn carriage up the mountain and then walk to the Eye of the Ocean. Kasprowy Wierch Cable Railway The scenery of Kasprowy Wierch, which is 1,987 meters above sea level, is very beautiful. After taking the cable car up the mountain, you can walk along the ridge. There will be many gravel roads, so it is recommended to prepare a pair of non-slip shoes for walking. Gubałówka - PKL SA Another cable car route, the cable car station is located in the city center, which is very conveniently located. It is considered the back garden of Zakopane's urban area. Great weekend trip to Zakopane at Radisson Blu Zakopane. Clean room with a nice view. Nice pool, sauna, very good breakfast with a good choice of various products. Close to city center Krupowki street (10 min walking) with a lot of shops, souvenirs, bars, restaurants and atractions. There is also fitness and biliard (pool) and darts for free of charge. Really nice trip :)

We went on a ski trip with my family. The picture show only a small part of beautiful view's of mountains. You have to go there and see it for your. Stay in a wooden house with a chimney. Look from your window and see the mountain view. And ofcourse go skiing or snowboarding.

After a crazy but amazing period of working came to a close there was only one thing left to do TRAVEL! Apologies it’s a long one but as brief as possible! 1st stop to bask in the sun and some needed r&r was Perth. Relaxing and catching up with the fam ❤️ Next stop Cambodia 🇰🇭 Phnom Penh taking in the beautiful sites of Royal Palace and visiting many stunning sites including Silk Village and the Golden Temple. Siem Reap was the next stop visiting Angkor Wot Temple. The early start at 3am for sunrise at this spectacular wonder of the world was worth every second! Loved the floating village and seeing how communities live and look after each other. Next stop Vietnam 🇻🇳 Hanoi was as busy as every one said! Crossing the roads was daunting but a day later I was a pro 🤣 Train street, Halong bay, Ninh Binh, Bai Dinh Temple was definitely worth the visit. Next stop Da nang From monkey & marble mountains to seeing Lady Buddha in all her glory! Dragon bridge and the many markets are a must see in Vietnam. Of course had to visit the Golden Bridge and Bana hills. Last stop Hoi Chi Minh previously known as Saigon! Watching a bamboo show at the opera house and doing lots of sightseeing in this vibrant city. Of course getting inked at the famous Saigon ink was in the itinerary 🙈 Next stop Philippines 🇵🇭 I started in Manila in the Makati region exploring malls and a few landmarks. Off I went to Cebu for the next few days, here visiting Sirao flower gardens, Taoist Temple and the beautiful Temple of Leah and ending the day at the 10000 roses site made this trip memorable. Meeting some new friends was definitely a highlight too 🥰 Next stop is Palawan. Puerto Princesa and El Nido From longest underground river tours to island hopping to visiting some stunning lagoons each moment was a as picturesque as the next! As I returned back to Perth to recoup from living the dream and some well needed rest. Last stop before returning home had to be Malaysia 🇲🇾 Kuala Lumpur you finished this trip perfectly. Batu Caves to the PETRONAS towers from temples to the most incredible malls. Loved central market and Petaling Street and Bukit Bintang. 47 hours flying time, 15 flights and 11 hotels later it’s time to go home for now 😉 As travelling was the main goal for 2024 I hope it continues for many years to come. We had a lovely time playing in the snow and eating delicious cheese. After arriving in Zakopane, we took the funicular up the mountain to the top, where there sat an array of restaurants and cafes, perfect for grabbing a quick drink or some snacks. There were also some little stalls behind the cafes, selling souvenirs alongside some more food stalls. A particular favourite as i have mentioned already is the cheese with a cranberry sauce.
