Jogja: A World for Art Lovers
[Immerse yourself in the vibrant strokes of Jogja's art scene]
Southeast Asian contemporary art compass: Jogja.
If you are a collector, practitioner or art enthusiast, then you must come to Jogja.
In this city, the artistic agenda is very progressive, because this city is home of great artists - both local and foreign - who are very active in reading global art trends and creating new works.
In the middle of the year, around June to September there is an art agenda called Artjog, a large exhibition which becomes a role model for other art galleries to hold exhibitions. During Artjog, there were thousands of other exhibitions held to enliven the art festival in Jogja.
The entrance ticket price to the Artjog exhibition is IDR 75,000 for adults, and IDR 50,000 for children. With this price, you will be pampered by exploring the endless world of art. This exhibition does not just display the works of artists, but is more of an interactive art vehicle, meaning you can understand and feel directly the ideas presented by the artists.
While you are in Jogja, there are many galleries or museums that you can visit, such as the Affandi Museum (Indonesian Maestro), Jogja Gallery, Sonobudoyo Museum, Srisasanti Gallery, Yogyakarta Indonesian Art Institute Gallery (RJ Katamsi Gallery), and many other galleries.
This year, Artjog will be held on 28 June-1 September 2024 with the theme Motif: Ramalan.
Come on, schedule your art tour in Indonesia, especially Jogja and feel the atmosphere!
