[Saitama] Chair-themed exhibition
Thrones, wheelchairs, electric chairs... this is an exhibition of works that explore various themes around chairs.
Even though we are sitting on chairs right now, they are not just functional as an everyday item. They are about the possible events that can occur depending on the chair, and relationships with chairs.
The stories embedded in the chairs were so diverse that it was really fascinating.
Photography is not allowed, but there are a number of impressive artists on display, from Yayoi Kusama and Duchamp to wheelchair user Kazuhiko Hikawa!
The video works were particularly memorable. There were several, and there are chairs to sit on in various places, so I recommend taking your time to enjoy them.
