The Folkwang Museum is one of Germany's most prestigious collections of 19th and 20th century art. The collection of paintings in the museum shows the development process of world painting art, involving Impressionism, Expressionism, Cubism, Bauhaus art and other painting genres. In this rich collection, almost all world-renowned artists are absent, from masterpieces by masters such as Picasso, Van Gogh, Renoir, Monet, Cezanne, Gauguin and Braque, to contemporary artists Pollock, Dali , Andy Warhol and Baselitz et al. Almost all the important painting masters in the history of modern art can be found here. It is a pity that the old art gallery was destroyed by artillery fire during World War II, but more than 60 years later, the current new Folkwang Art Gallery was established by a British architect.
