Explore Lyon, a charming city.
🌱**1. Vieux Lyon**
Stroll through Vieux Lyon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and experience the cityscape from the late Middle Ages to the Renaissance. The cobblestone streets and red brick buildings are unique to Vieux Lyon and symbolize the prosperity of that era. Explore the secret passages known as "Traboules" and discover the secrets of the old town. These hidden paths between buildings were once shortcuts for porters and are now mysterious places that attract tourists.
🌱**2. Cathédrale St-Jean**
At the southern end of Rue St-Jean, Cathédrale St-Jean, built in the late 11th century, attracts visitors with its Gothic facade and colorful stained glass windows. The antique astronomical clock in the corner is also worth a closer look.
🌱**3. Fourvière**
Take the vintage cable car from the old town to Fourvière, where two ancient Roman theaters still serve as public venues. The Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière stands proudly at the highest point of the city, and the side terrace offers a panoramic view of the city.
🌱**4. La Confluence**
At the southernmost tip of the peninsula, La Confluence was once a market and factory area, but now has a new, design-oriented look. The Musée des Confluences features a modernist steel structure and crystal glass facade, and the exhibits are presented in a new way.
🌱**5. Gastronomic Experience**
Lyon is known as the "Gastronomic Capital of France," and in addition to its rich history and culture, it is home to many unforgettable food markets, such as Les Halles de Lyon – Paul Bocuse, where you can experience the local food culture.
🌱**6. Fête des Lumières**
Every December, the Fête des Lumières is held in Lyon, attracting thousands of visitors. The terrace of the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière offers a great view of the city of Lyon and is an ideal place for visitors to take photos.
🌱**7. Beaujolais Wine**
Beaujolais wine is known for its light, fruity flavor. Beaujolais Nouveau is released worldwide on the third Thursday of November each year, becoming a grand celebration for wine lovers.
🎄Exploring Lyon is not just a trip, but a journey of discovery. From historical sites to modern art, from gourmet food to wine tasting, Lyon welcomes every visitor in its own unique way. 🌹🌹🌹

Fescinating Destination
While this is no doubt one of the best museums about natural history. I was so stunned by its design. It's eye catching. The museum's location is special too. Right opposite the confluence, meeting point of the Rhone and Saone rivers. From the glass structure within you get lovely views.
The collection and exhibits are impressive, covering diverse themes such as life and death, scientific exploration, cultural exchange, and even love. The museum features a vast collection, including paleontology, zoology, and ethnography artifacts.
Temporary exhibitions add to the museum's appeal. The architecture and design was what attracted me the most. Simply put it is spectacular, a unique blend of lines and curves. This is definitely worth a visit.

Fascinating
Located right opposite the confluence this museum makes for an easy activity. For us it was time to grab a bite as well. So a visit to the museum and its cafe for a snack served perfectly well. The exhibits are impressive, covering diverse themes such as life and death, scientific exploration, cultural exchange, and even love. It features a vast collection, including paleontology, zoology, and ethnography artifacts. These varied themes provide deep insights into human knowledge and experience.
I felt the temporary exhibitions also add to the museum's appeal, with current displays on topics like epidemics and even the topic of love. The museum's architecture and design are also spectacular, a unique blend of lines and curves creates a modern space for these exhibits. It would be a great addition tonyour itinerary.
