I started my journey from the 'Izu-Kogen' station on the Izu Kyuko Line, took the Izu Tokai Bus for about 20 minutes to the 'Cactus Park,' and then walked a short distance to the entrance of Mount Omuro. The convenience of transportation allowed me to focus more on this spiritual journey, reflecting on the meaning of life amidst the spectacular natural scenery. A manga-like landscape just 3 hours from Tokyo! I took a birthday vacation in September and decided to spend two days in Izu to see the mountains and the sea. 🍵 From the Omuroyama, the filming location of "Your Name," to the shimmering blue-green rocky coast, to the various open-air hot springs with sea views, Izu is the perfect place to relax and unwind! 📍Two-day itinerary & guide Day 1️⃣ Morning: Tokyo - Izu-Atagawa Station Afternoon: Jogasaki Coast Transportation: Navigate to "Izu Oceanic Park." Take the train from Atagawa for 3 stops to "Jogasaki Coast Station," a small unmanned station. Swipe your Suica card to exit the station. There are signs for "Kadowaki Suspension Bridge" and "Izu Oceanic Park" at the entrance. Visited Izu and checked in at Oomuroyama❗It's really as beautiful as in the comics, but it's not worth a special trip✅ 1️⃣The queue for the cable car was long but moved quickly, about 20 minutes. 2️⃣Ladies, bring water, it's hot and you'll sweat a lot! 3️⃣It takes about 20 minutes to walk around the top of the mountain. The famous places in Izu Kogen are Omuroyama and Jōgasaki Coast. Omuroyama and Mount Fuji have the same charm, both are conical, and they look like wonderful hills that only appear in paintings. The 580-meter-high Omuroyama is made up of debris after the volcanic eruption. Jōgasaki Coast was formed by the lava that flowed out when Omuroyama volcano erupted about 4000 years ago. You can take a walk along the coastline of about 9km. In particular, the "Monet Suspension Bridge" with a total length of 48m and a height of about 23m is a thrilling and breathtaking spot.
