Mount Faber to Henderson South Ridges
#singapore
Just saw a beautiful Merlion on top of Mount Faber on a lovely weather. The trail is connected to Henderson road up to Alexandra, to Vivo City and as far as Kent Ridge. Highly recommended for people who love to do trekking, workout or just have casual walk on top of the mountain. The view is spectacular and worth visiting. You can also have a chance to see animals in the trees such as squirrels and even monkey 🐿️🐒🌳.
Note: Cable car can also be taken to go to Vivo side. #mountfaber #mountfaberpeak #mountfabersafra

Hawker centre in neighbourhood!
This hawker centre serves predominantly local hawker foods and drinks. It is an outdoor eating place where everyone can eat instantly. People love to eat here because it is cheaper than a restaurant. Also easy to find halal foods.
Location: Neighbourhood area of Mount Faber, Singapore.
Price: I ate one Roti Canai for $1.50
Rating: It’s really a convenient place as i can give 4 out of 5

hiking... Good experience 😂
Our 1st hiking trip from Mount Faber Park to Kent Ridge Park.
One of the oldest parks in Singapore, Mount Faber Park is a popular tourist destination, offering visitors a host of activities.
Take a cable car from Mount Faber to Sentosa Island and enjoy the stunning view of the horizon from above. Alternatively, you can gaze through the telescopes at one of the many lookout points that are situated at various sides of the ridge for a panoramic view of the southern part of Singapore and the southern islands. Delve into our nation’s natural heritage at Faber Point, the highest point in the park, where a mural wall depicts scenes of local historical events, and where the tree that was planted during the first Tree Planting Day stands.
Mount Faber is covered by a secondary rain forest. The vegetation on the slope helps to stabilise the terrain besides beautifying the park.
The park is part of the Southern Ridges, which also comprises Telok Blangah Hill Park, HortPark, Kent Ridge Park and Labrador Nature Reserve.

Nice view at Mount Faber
How to get there: Nearest Mrt is Harbourfront Mrt station exit D.
We had breakfast at the nearby Seah im food centre before starting our long walk. You can hike to the top of Mount Faber from the bottom via Marang trail. It is about 800 m of stairs climbing. The steps are steep but very safe and well shaded. You can take your time and enjoy bird chirping along the way. Upon reaching the top, you will be greeted by the amazing views. Panoramic view 106m above sea level.
There are toilets and vending machines at Mount Faber. Next, you will get to the cable car station which you can take to sentosa.
The climb is strenous to my knee but the view up there make it worthwhile.

Cable Car and trail walk witb nature
Mount Faber is one of the most easy access trail walk . When you get tired and you just want to rest you can take a rest on the rainbow steps. There’s a cafe at the top of the steps where you can have coffee while looking at the gorgeos view! If you want you can also take a cable car from Mount Faber to Sentos and beach station. #donnahtheexplorer #singapore #walking #greenery

The Highest Peak In Singapore
Mount Faber Park is a very popular tourists attraction where you will see many tour buses park at the peak at 10am onwards, especially on weekdays. This is the highest peak in singapore of a total elevation of 106m and located at Mount Faber Rd.
One of the oldest park in singapore, there are several trails to explore and activities to do up here. You can sit the cable car to vivocity or sentosa while absorbing the view from above, or have lunch and enjoy the panoramic view overlooking the cityscape or just enjoy the self guided walk where you can learn about the history and natural heritage of the park.
To get up here, you can either drive up or for the more adventurous ones, walking up or even cycling up is something you can explore. But just a tip, it's not gonna be easy as the top of the hill gets really steep and requires some extra push to reach the top.
Come here in the morning where you can watch the sunrise and come back here again in the night time where you can see the beautifully cityscape lighting up.

Hike on Mount Faber for the city view
If you love nature, try this hike to Mount Faber Park where the cable car to Sentosa starts.
If you don’t wish to walk up the slope, you can take taxi or car to the drop off point at Mount Faber Cable Car Station. From here you can walk around the area to explore the city Skyline on one side and Sentosa on the other side.
It is not crowded at all so you can enjoy fresh air with the view.
After that you may want to take cable car towards Sentosa and explore Sentosa island. Otherwise, you can continue the hike to the direction of Hort Park / Henderson wave as it’s all connected.
Recommended time to spend here - 1 hour

Hike to the top of Mount Faber Park
There are a few different ways to get to the top of Mount Faber Park in Singapore - drive, cycle, take a cable car from Harbourfront MRT station, hike. I had to take the toughest method - a 1.5 hr hike from Keppel Hill Road. The nearest bus interchange is Harbourfront interchange.
The views at the top of Mount Faber Park were rewarding and made the hike worth it. The hill overlooks Sentosa Island and Keppel Bay. I could even see the cable car station and Dusk Restaurant & Bar at the top of the hill.
The trail brought me to Seah Im bunker, Keppel Hill Reservoir, Japanese tomb and lastly, Mount Faber Peak.

Using our final SRV credit and booked a package on trip.com for a weekend breakfast and sightseeing with my folks. Leisurely and unhurried is the best in view of their age.
It was a cool morning and we saw many doing their morning walk up the hill while we are on our way up. Public carparks are all a distance away from the cable car station and we decided to give it to the valet to take care of our car so that my folks need not walk too much.
We will need to walk through the gift shop to get to the cafe which is a very clever strategy. We ended up buying a few souvenirs like a tourist. 😄
There are few choices of breakfast set and the serving size is good. Comes with chilled fresh juice to prep the stomach for breakfast and rounded off with a nice hot beverage ☕️.
My folks enjoyed the scenery and we were very lucky that it was a cool and breezy morning. Spent more than an hour at the cafe before we adjourned to our sightseeing ride to Sentosa on the cable car.
The Poland’s Bells of Happiness area is set up and cordoned off in preparation for a marriage solemnisation event in the afternoon.

Between the Summit and the Horizon: The Tranquil Moments of Mount Faber
Walking into Mount Faber Park, the fresh morning breeze gently brushes your cheeks, and the symphony of birdsong and rustling leaves fills your ears. As you proceed along the green corridor, verdant vines hang in the air like natural curtains, shielding visitors from the city's hustle and bustle.
Standing on the summit's observation deck, you can overlook the entire city. The vast coastline and bustling port come into view, with distant cargo ships dotting the horizon like stars, telling the story of Singapore as a trading hub. The city's greenery and architecture blend seamlessly, resembling a delicate painting.
Strolling through the traditional Pearl's Hill Pavilion, you can feel the rich cultural atmosphere. This place is not only a vantage point but also a sanctuary for the soul. Walking on the suspension bridge in a corner of the park, it feels like being at the pinnacle of a forest, where the expansive scenery and serene nature merge, making it hard to leave.

Went to the Mount Faber park for a short walk over the weekends. It is one of my favorite places to hike actually. There’s a lot to explore at this area and take a look at, and the views are just wonderful and pretty. The hike is also not tough and relatively easy, not much steep stairs and all. Can also head down to VivoCity from here after that and shop! Very convenient and would recommend definitely.

A good hike at Mount Faber
A good weekend activity to walk around Mount Faber at around evening time, surprisingly there was not much of a crowd throughout the hike.
It took us 1.5 hours to hike from the start of Vivocity area and until Canopy HortPark where we stopped for a dinner so it was a rather chilling walk. Part of the canopy walk was closed for renovations until 2025 though so there was a need to detour.
Overall it’s a good place for a weekend leisure walk as there’s different scenic views to enjoy along the way.

Whether it's a casual meal at the hilltop restaurant or a more sophisticated affair at a fine dining establishment, visitors can enjoy their food while overlooking the panoramic scenery of the city and the sea.
Visitor Tips
- Wear Comfortable Shoes: The park's hilly terrain means you'll want sturdy footwear for exploring the trails.
- Bring Binoculars: For bird watchers and those who want a closer look at the distant views, binoculars can enhance the experience.
- Visit During the Evening: While the park is beautiful at any time of day, the evening lights from the city and Sentosa create a magical night view that is not to be missed.
- Accessibility: While much of the park is accessible, some trails and viewpoints might be challenging for those with mobility issues.

Mount Faber: A Breathtaking Experience
#singaporetrip
I recently hiked up Mount Faber and was blown away by the stunning views of Singapore's skyline and the southern islands. The hike was challenging, but the scenic trails and lush greenery made it worthwhile. At the summit, I enjoyed panoramic views of the city and harbor, and even took a cable car ride to Sentosa Island. The experience was exhilarating and peaceful at the same time. I highly recommend Mount Faber to nature lovers and adventure seekers. It's a must-visit attraction in Singapore!

I went to the Mount Faber park for a short hike / walk, and this is per the Marang trail which would take you towards harbor front mrt in the end. The trail is quite easy for those who are physically fit. Indeed there were plenty of stairs to climb and it seems like it is never ending but it is still somewhat manageable. This is because the stairs are not super steep as well. It may be a bit slippery if you go during days after the rain. so do be careful about this aspect. Overall it’s quite a nice and fun climb and it can be quite cooling (not too hot) so it’s an enjoyable hike / walk due to nice weather and it’s simple and easy to manage. Suggest doing this with your family members if you have time. Can walk to vivo city or harbor front for a nice meal and dine there after this hike. Indeed really rewarding and a fun weekend activity to do with your loved ones.

[Explore Singapore] Cable Car Experience
#mysgmemories It’s funny (and sad) how it took a pandemic for us to truly look at Singapore in the eye. During pre-pandemic days, we couldn’t wait to get out of it, always looking elsewhere to forge beautiful travel memories.
So much so that when we were trapped in Singapore for a couple of years, we had to dig deep to discover what we had always taken for granted - that Singapore is one beautiful place to be living (trapped) in.
During the pandemic, we took the opportunity to explore Singapore on a deeper level during our off days. Most of the time, it jogged our memory as we revisited places we used to go - like Mount Faber.
It’s been such a long time since I last visited Mount Faber, and I sure don’t recall climbing it. We traversed past Henderson Wave to reach Mount Faber and took a cable car ride to Sentosa, before returning to Arbor at Mount Faber for meal. More than the sunset view, it was more about rediscovering the experience we shared.
What a beautiful Sunday off.
