Christchurch, New Zealand - Mona Vale Gardens
Christchurch's Mona Vale Gardens played an indispensable role in the city's honor of being named the world's number one Garden City in 1993.
The Mona Vale Gardens are a typical traditional Victorian estate, with the beautiful Avon River running through it, complete with streams, villas, lawns, gardens, and woods. The scenery is elegant and picturesque, featuring small bridges over flowing water, lush grass, and weeping willows, reminiscent of the romantic atmosphere of Cambridge, England, and resembling an ideal fairy-tale world.
Across from the Mona Vale Gardens is a wealthy residential area, where houses of various shapes and unique decorations are nestled among flowers and green trees. The yard decorations and the winding pebble paths indicate the private property nature of each house.
The Avon River, flowing through the Mona Vale Gardens, is graceful and clear, with soft willow branches gently caressing the water surface. Under the sunlight, the river sparkles, and the green lawns on the banks, along with the clusters of soft green and light yellow pampas grass, are adorned with flowers like lotus, hostas, ant towers, and water caltrops. Foraging birds, playful wild ducks and mandarin ducks, and leisurely trout create a picturesque and gentle scene, brimming with life and depicting a harmonious image of humans and nature. Enjoying a punting trip is a romantic and unforgettable leisurely experience. The boatmen, dressed in white suits with suspenders, ties, and white linen straw hats, gently push the punt with a long pole, slowly narrating the history and anecdotes of the garden.

The early autumn in Mona Vale Gardens
Mona Vale Gardens | A traditional Victorian estate, with the Avon River running through it, and the affluent area's villas along the riverbank look particularly beautiful against the backdrop of autumn colors. Built in the early 20th century by a British merchant as a private estate, it features a typical traditional Victorian courtyard, imbued with a strong British romantic ambiance. The Avon River meanders through, and in summer, the gardens are a riot of flowers, as if walking in the fantastical world of 'Alice in Wonderland'. In 1993, Christchurch was awarded the title of the world's number one Garden City, and Mona Vale Gardens is a classic representation of Christchurch's gardens.

Christchurch is New Zealand's third largest city and its alias is The Garden City. The city has a strong British atmosphere and is known as the most British city in the world except the UK.
Mona Vale, Mona Vale, let me discover the delicate side of New Zealand. Known as the most beautiful garden in New Zealand, it is arguably the representative of Christchurch Gardens, covering an area of 5.5 hectares. It used to be a private farmhouse with a typical Victorian style.
Free garden free scenery takes me back to the leisurely afternoon in Cambridge, England. The beautiful Avon river runs through the creeks, villas, lawns, fields, gardens and woods. Elegant and beautiful, the bridge is flowing, the grass is like the grass, the green willow shades, just like the romantic atmosphere of Cambridge, England, completely forgetting that we are in the city.
Maple.
There is also a caf in the old English villa, where High Tea needs an appointment, but you can enjoy a simple afternoon tea.
We sat in the courtyard and enjoyed simple coffee and cakes. The mischievous sparrows are eating around the table, the lady in the party on the second floor, the flowers in the rose garden forget that this is the fall of New Zealand. Everything is beautiful, it belongs to the afternoon of the weekend.
The garden is more lively. I don't know what weekend party is. Everyone sits on the ground and enjoys the weekend in the garden.
