[Rebun Island] Flower Floating Island Momoiwa Observatory✨
Rebun Island, Hokkaido. It is the northernmost inhabited island, and is called the floating island of flowers because of the cool climate even in summer and the fact that about 300 kinds of alpine plants bloom on the flat land.
The east coast has a gentle hilly terrain that spreads out to the sea, but the west coast, which is exposed to the harsh westerly winds in winter, is a series of steep cliffs.
The completely different scenery on the west and east sides of the island is also attractive.
This time, I rented a bicycle from a shop opposite the Kafuka Ferry Terminal and went to Momoiwa Observatory. I was able to rent an electric bicycle for 1 hour 💰 Price: ¥1000. I visited in mid-September, so I couldn't see the alpine plants, but when I arrived at Momoiwa Observatory, a spectacular view that I couldn't believe my eyes was waiting for me. Since it was a weekday, there were almost no people. There are also hiking trails, so I would like to try it next time.
Rebun Island was simply moved by the scenery that I had never seen before. Why don't you visit it once? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 📍Name of spot: Momoiwa Observatory, Kafukamotochi, Rebun-cho, Rebun-gun, Hokkaido
