This German inspired building houses a grand old hotel with great ballrooms and a winding staircase. Nestled between modern skyscrapers this building looks a little out of place due to its age but stands out proudly and is super well lit. In fact, the hotel boasts its 88 years of existence through its marvelous furniture & fixture and intricate details from the wood parqueted floors to the stained glass windows. It’s an amazing experience to stay here. Too bad the tour of the hotel is only offered in Chinese. We would have loved to learn more about its history. The Executive Lounge was a public yet quiet space for some light snacking if you’re feeling peckish. The breakfast buffet also offers a variety of options, mainly local dishes.
