You need to carry all your luggage with you when you get off the bus at Mohan and Moten. For the outbound trip, you can only buy a ticket for Mohan on D887, and then cross the border from Mohan to Moten, where you can get a visa on arrival. The D887 "Fuxing" EMU set off from Kunming South Railway Station to Vientiane at 8:08 in the morning. The train stops at 8 stations throughout the journey, including 4 China-section stations in Kunming South, Pu'er, Xishuangbanna, and Mohan, and 4 Laos-section stations in Boten, Luang Prabang, Vangvieng, and Vientiane. The maximum operating speed is 160 kilometers per hour. Passengers got off the train at Mohan on the China section. The train stayed in Mohan for about an hour. After passing through Chinese Customs at the exit joint inspection building, they boarded train D887. When the train arrives at Boten Station in the Laos section, passengers need to get off the train and pass through Laos Customs, and then board train D887. The train will stay at Boten Station for about an hour. Passengers can pre-apply for a Laos visa online. Taxis are the main means of transportation in Laos. Passengers should install the local taxi Loca Apps in advance to facilitate transportation arrangements after arriving at the station.
