Walking along while watching the cruise boats gently floating on the river brought a sense of calm to my heart. Hita is also famous for its hot springs. Staying at a quiet ryokan and soaking in the baths was the ultimate healing experience. ☀️ A local delicacy in Hita is 'Hita Yakisoba,' which features crispy fried noodles complemented by the refreshing crunch of bean sprouts. The taste is quite delightful. There are also famous beverages crafted from the local groundwater, including beer, sake, and shochu. Many breweries in Hita offer tours, such as the 'Sapporo Beer Kyushu Hita Factory,' 'Lichiko Hita Shochu Distillery,' and a sake cellar museum located in Mamedamachi that dates back to the Edo period, where you can immerse yourself in the rich aroma of alcohol. ☀️ As evening approaches, restaurants begin to light up, and under the blue twilight sky, a hazy orange glow beckons, promising a table of heartwarming delicacies waiting for us.

There were many suburbs such as Dazaifu, Yufuin, and Beppu, but I wanted to visit Hita the most, so I chose the Indigo Travel Bus Tour, which is the only one that visits 'Hita'. Not only that, Indigo Travel Bus Tour departs earlier than other companies, and the first destination is Yufuin, not Dazaifu! Thanks to this, I was able to leisurely look around and take pictures without overlapping with other tourists, which was the biggest merit.

Hita, also known as Mini Kyoto, is a quiet and peaceful rural town near Fukuoka. I visited in early January, which is the peak season for Japanese travel, but it was not crowded and quiet, so it was an even more healing travel destination.🕊️ Since Hita has many picturesque alleys, I highly recommend renting a bicycle and exploring the town. Address - Hita Mabushi Senya We traveled by train. We had to walk a bit further to the shop but it was worth it. The menu we ordered was a whole eel grilled in a juicy sauce. It was so delicious that we wanted to go back and eat it again. They gave us a lot of eel. We ate it to our hearts' content. The fried eel bones were also delicious. It was strange, but it was the first time we had it. There were 5 of us and we ordered 3 large sets. We were just full. If anyone goes to this area, I recommend this shop. It's really awesome. Mamedamachi is a town along the Kagetsu River in the northern part of Hita City, Oita Prefecture. It has been designated as a nationally designated important preservation district for groups of traditional buildings, and was certified as a Japanese Heritage site in 2015. Maruyama Castle was built in 1601 (Keicho 6), and the area around the castle was called Maruyama-cho. After 1616 (Genwa 2), the castle was renamed "Nagayama Castle". The castle town was then moved to its current location and called Mamedamachi. It's a nostalgic townscape that preserves the old Japan ^_^. Why not take a stroll around the fun townscape and find sake breweries, soy sauce specialty shops, and eel restaurants? The #Sapporo Beer Factory is also nearby.

📍Hita Hita is not that big, so it was nice to travel around every corner by bike! 2 hours is enough to see everything, and if you eat, 3 hours would be good too :) If you want to feel the Japanese countryside, definitely remember Hita! #JapanTravel
