Not only the architecture that has Chinese touch, but the foods, music, and ambience also reminds you of China. Some tips to visit Chinatown PIK: ✨️ Come after 15.30 PM since the weather will be cooler. Also, many of stores just start to open in the afternoon to evening. ✨️ Although a lot of tenants wrote whether their products are halal or not, but there are some food sellers that didn't indicate it. So you'd better ask everytime you wanna try the food.

Originally I wanted to stop by there, but when I passed by and saw it, I was immediately impressed because the building was so beautifully elegant and large. I was sure that whenever I passed by, I couldn't help but turn my head. But from the outside, I knew the type of place it was, and honestly, it's not my kind of place. I went back because the first time I wanted to visit, I thought it wasn't open yet. When I returned, it still wasn't open, and even calling didn't connect at all. I was going back and forth about whether to visit or not, and after checking the menu, I finally decided to go in. Upon entering, my initial impression of this place was correct it was a bit intimidating for me but the staff were friendly, so I felt very welcomed. I ordered a mocktail, "Maracuya Smash," which contains passion fruit and torch ginger I automatically ordered it. In terms of taste, the passion fruit was dominantly tangy, but the torch ginger was still noticeable albeit subtle. I ordered one of the dessert menus, asking first if it contained alcohol, in which case I would skip it. Finally, I ordered the "Hidden Paradise," which includes torched cheesecake, lemon sorbet, peach, jelly, and some crunchy elements I don't know the name of, along with a garnish shaped like an owl. Overall, it was delicious; the cheesecake wasn't too heavy, and the lemon sorbet was very refreshing. Initially, it was poured with some brandy to melt the cotton candy, which I wasn't informed about because it had a slight bitterness. The ambiance was cool and quite cozy, actually, suitable for gatherings but with a desire for a quiet and intimate setting it's quite suitable. Here's a new spot, guys! The place is fantastic, with an eye-catching front store. It's located in PIK 2, near Batavia behind Pantjoran PIK. The restaurant is called GAISE. It has two floors with both indoor and semi-outdoor seating, and no matter where you sit, you're guaranteed to feel comfortable! The menu here is extensive, ranging from appetizers to desserts. You definitely need to try the food because it's that delicious! I tried the truffle mushroom soup, eggs benedict, and aburi shoyu salmon pasta, and they all scored above 8—totally approved. It's called rumah kopi papowi, which has two floors for dining in. Both floors are fully air-conditioned indoor spaces, but there's also a semi-outdoor smoking area. The theme is quite homey, making it a cozy place to stay 😍. The place is suitable for anything—whether you want to have some me-time, work from café, enjoy family time with kids, or hang out with friends 🤗. As for the menu, since it was really hot, I tried two drinks. You should definitely try their signature coffee called Ice Shaken Doppio. In the eastern part of Jakarta there is a very nice restaurant inside the mall of Indonesia within the Harris Hotel. They have a very big restaurant and bar with an open space that sells cigars too. They have free wifi and water and have a very good coffee making machine. There is an outdoor space too that can accommodate a lot of people with traditional Indonesian decor

I'm always interested to something with Chinese stuffs. And this building with the Chinese style and ornaments stole my attention, so that I visited it. This is the Confucian (Indonesians are more familiar with "Konghuchu") temple, also called Klenteng in Indonesian language. Located in the area of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Kong Miao temple represents the diversity of religions in Indonesia.
