It's super convenient, within walking distance to Durian Street, Suria Sabah, Jesselton Point, and more. During peak season, getting a Grab ride is all about luck, so staying here will save you a lot of trouble. As for food, there's no need to join the crowd at those popular restaurants. The long queues are a waste of time. There are plenty of places on Gaya Street with no queues, and the food is just as good. You might be pleasantly surprised by the flavors at any random place you choose. Now, let's talk about water activities. You can try the water activities on the nearby islands, but I don't recommend snorkeling. It's crowded, and the water is quite murky, so you can't see much. If you really want to snorkel, go to Mantanani Island. Although it's a long boat ride, the scenery is worth it. The clear water and beautiful underwater views will make it all worthwhile. As for the City Mosque, I don't really recommend going inside. Once you're in, you're limited to a small area with no guides or explanations, so it's not very interesting. Just take photos outside, which costs 5 RM, while going inside costs 10 RM. Plus, you have to change into specific clothes, which is a hassle. Finally, let's talk about the local durians. They're cheap and delicious, only 8 RM per kg, with a sweet and soft texture. However, compared to Musang King and Black Thorn, the taste is slightly inferior. There's also the wild durian, which costs 15 RM per kg and tastes like sweet potatoes. But since you're already there, why not try them all? It's a unique experience.
