An emotional experience at Auschwitz
Everyone has heard of the horrors that happened during the second World War. In Europe, Poland was hit hardest and millions of Jewish people died, many of them here at Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.
Located near the beautiful town of Krakow, you can easily visit this site on a day trip, either with your own transport or on one of the many tours.
You can visit some of the barracks to see the poor conditions in which the people lived. There are also many exhibitions showing some pictures as well as items from that time. But easily the most important part are the gas chambers where the people were put to death. You can't help but being moved.
The Museum is located on the outskirts of the city of Oświęcim on national road 933.
Admission to the grounds of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial is free.

The pictures are from the Auschwitz-Birkeneau in nowadays called town of Oswiecim - #poland . It is a place form the world war 2 and maybe everyone heard about it. The birkeneau is free for visiting and there is no need of reservation. However for the museum you need to book in advance even it costs 0$. The place is really interesting and worth a visit.

Poland is a country rich in history and culture. Here are some travel tips and recommendations for Poland:
1. Gdansk: Located in northern Poland, this is an easy city to explore. You can visit St. Mary's Church to see the spectacular astronomical clock, the Amber Museum to see large pieces of amber and preserved lizards, and Neptune's Fountain.
2. Warsaw: As the capital of Poland, Warsaw has many historical sites, such as the Warsaw Historical Center. Warsaw Airport is small, and you can take a bus to the city center or to Warsaw Central Station to buy train tickets to other cities.
3. Krakow: This city has a rich history and culture, including the Main Market Square (Central Square), Wawel Royal Castle, and Oskar Schindler's Factory. In addition, Krakow's Jewish Quarter, Kazmierz, is also worth a visit.
4. Wieliczka Salt Mine: This is a historic salt mine that is now a professional museum. Visitors can tour the mine and experience the history and culture of the salt mine.
5. Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum: This is an important historical site that provides a profound historical education about Nazi concentration camps during World War II.
6. Wroclaw: This city is known for its central market square and historical sites and is a great city to explore on foot.
7. Zakopane: If you enjoy outdoor activities, Zakopane is an ideal destination with beautiful mountains and hiking opportunities.
8. Baltic Sea Beaches: Northern Poland has beautiful beaches, such as Swinoujscie Beach, which is a great place to enjoy the sun and beach fun.
9. Polish Cuisine: Polish cuisine is known for its hearty stews and smoked cheese, so don't miss the chance to try traditional Polish food.
10. Craft Beer: Poland's craft beer scene is also very active, and you can explore local breweries and craft beers.
Here are some practical tips and tricks for traveling in Poland:
Don't take photos without permission, especially in large venues such as classes, as this is an invasion of privacy.
Be careful not to litter and keep the environment clean.
Public transportation in Poland requires you to buy tickets, and plainclothes police officers may check.
Poland has a pleasant climate, with short summers and large temperature differences between day and night, so remember to bring a jacket.
Prices in Poland are relatively low, and the local currency is the zloty, with an exchange rate of about 1.82:1 (RMB).
Poles may not speak English as well as people in other European countries, so learning some basic Polish will be helpful.
I hope these tips will help you plan an enjoyable trip to Poland!

The Auschwitz Memorial and Museum in Poland serves as a poignant reminder of one of the darkest periods in human history. Visiting this site brings the horrors of the Holocaust and the stories of its victims deeply into focus. The exhibits and photographs within the grounds vividly convey the grim reality of that time, and guided tours offer a deeper understanding. Emphasizing the importance of memory, this place imparts lessons that must not be forgotten, urging a reconsideration of human rights and dignity. A must visit historical site
This historical site is a must visit. Not only is it affordable visiting this site is very moving and a massive part of history. The tour guides speak many language and we found them to be very informative. There are two camps included in this tour with a free shuttle bus provided by the museum. The journey from krakow to auschwitz on the train is roughly 1.5 hrs. There are many places to stay in krakow, we managed to find a hotel for the night for only £20. We also found taxis to be extremely cheap and managed to get a taxi from krakow airport to the city centre for only £5 on Uber!

Just had a profoundly moving day at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum. The entrance is free, a stark reminder that some experiences are beyond any price tag. 🕊️
Walking through the gates sent shivers down my spine. The museum is a heartbreaking testament to the atrocities of the Holocaust. The exhibits are haunting, from personal belongings to the chilling photos that capture the unimaginable. 😢
Birkenau, the vastness of it, is almost surreal. Standing by the railway tracks, it hits you – the scale of the tragedy. The solemnity of the memorial and the remnants of barracks leave you in somber reflection. 🚂
The guided tour is incredibly informative, providing historical context and personal stories that humanize the unimaginable suffering. The memorial's commitment to education and remembrance is palpable. 📚
Post-visit, I took a moment at the nearby Oświęcim town square – a small but resilient town with its own history. It's a poignant continuation of the day's reflections. 🏰 #AuschwitzMemorial #HolocaustRemembrance #HumanityPrevails #NeverForget

Auschwitz: The Largest Nazi Extermination Camp
Auschwitz - The Largest Nazi Extermination Camp. A must-visit on your Poland itinerary, where at least 1 million souls perished before the camp was liberated by the Soviets in 1945.

The biggest Concentration Camp in World War II
Some places you visit for their beauty, others for their iconic status. And some places – some places you visit because they should never be forgotten.
This’s the largest concentration camp by Nazis and it’s very worth going if you want to know about the holocaust history and reflect on the situation in the world right now. It is indeed a sad and shocking place.
I recommend going with an organized tour as getting there yourself is a bit of a hassle.

It may be discerning, or may prefer the old house (it will be a good thing sooner or later), and book an old house, this time in the Jewish quarter of Krakow, Poland. Although I took more than 800 churches, I was telling the truth for the first time in Judaism. Many times before, I encountered renovations in Jewish churches, and there were not many synagogues in Europe. The Auschwitz concentration camp, 54 km west of Krakow, was the largest concentration camp and extermination camp established by the Nazis during the Second World War. The landlord was very enthusiastic to help me book a car to the concentration camp. In fact, my heart is Some resistance, the concentration camp must be a very heavy place, the traveler is so contradictory, not only to witness the pain, but also to share the joy, so still go to "visit" the concentration camp. I will not let go of the pictures. Most of them are not photographed. It is also a respect for the deceased. History teaches us not to repeat the same mistakes.
There is a alley behind the old house, there is an antique shop, the sky, the big hidden in the city! I patiently picked it up for a long time and finally picked a beautifully carved wood carving. I suspected that it was lifted from a certain piece of furniture. It looked like it was bought especially. It was not expensive for ten dollars. I was thinking, this grandfather opened. An antique shop that no one will patronize, and all the things in it are ten or twenty. It is not expensive at all. Is it waiting for some of his relatives to buy him a special item like in the novel? But at least I am not his good person. The Jewish quarter and the central market are completely different styles. One is like a calm uncle, a more handsome guy like the sun. On the one hand, it is cold and clear, while the other is singing and dancing. Its hard to say in the same city. Is it ironic or cultural diversity.
