One sunny afternoon, I revved up my motorcycle and headed to Maya Shopping Mall, a retail haven nestled in the heart of Chiang Mai, Thailand. The mall offered ample parking space for motorcycles, making it a convenient choice for visitors like me.
As I entered the mall, it was clear that Maya was a popular destination for tourists and locals alike. The sheer variety of brands and shops inside was staggering, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences.
Not only was Maya a shopper's paradise, but it also doubled as a culinary haven. The mall featured numerous restaurants and coffee shops, providing a delightful culinary journey for all visitors.

Maya Shopping Mall
We took a grab to Maya Shopping Center after a quick bite in the streets. This mall is pretty nice, has a lot of shops and even had some events going on when we were there, since we were a bit early for our next spot we decided to watch a movie and their theater was nice too, big and comfy seats. After that we ate a little something at their foodcourt upstairs—again lots of choices here to eat and drink! This mall also had an outdoor area on the upper floor where you could see some mountain and city view so snapped a few nice pictures there too. I’s say definitely come by thie mall when you are around the Nimmanhaemin area. #thailand #foodie #mytripvlog #urbanexplorer #awesomepic #chiangmai #本地遊

Chiang Mai Escape: Motorcycle Madness!
Hey riders! I wanted to escape the busy life in Bangkok, so I grabbed my motorcycle and took a solo trip to Chiang Mai. All I wanted was some peace and quiet to chill and be myself for a while.
Planning the Ride: Since it's a long way, I planned stops all along the way to make it an adventure, not just a boring ride.
Day 1: Let's Go!
Started at 5 AM! First stop was Kafae Tee Rak Cafe in Suphanburi to wake myself up with some coffee. Filled up the bike with gas at Bangchak in Nakhon Sawan, then took a nap at the Wang Hin Police Booth in Tak to feel more awake. Grabbed a quick bite at a 7-Eleven in Lampang before finally reaching my comfy bed for the night at City Capsule Hostel in Chiang Mai.
Day 2: Peace Out, Bangkok!
Mornings started with yummy Khaosoi noodles at Mae Pha Si restaurant. Checked out the cool old walls and gate at Suan Dok Gate.
To find some real peace, I went to Wat Pha Lat Hike (Monk's trail). This place with all the trees and temples was amazing! It felt like a secret hideaway to relax before going to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep.
By lunchtime, my tummy was rumbling so I ate Pat Thai and fried shrimp at Nueng Diao Restaurant. Yum!
The afternoon sun was hot, and the air wasn't so good, so I escaped to the air conditioning at Maya Shopping Center. This mall had everything, from clothes to cool souvenirs. The gift section was awesome, with tons of stuff to bring back home for my family and friends.
While I was strolling around a souvenir corner, I saw a bright orange packaging from distance. I decided to take a closer look to make sure what it was – it’s a kind of Thai tea called “ELEPTEA” in easy-to-make packets which was perfect for a quick cup of tea! The cute elephant on the box got me too. I bought 3 boxes of the original flavor, and the nice people at the store even gave me free samples of Durian and Mango flavors to try.
I ended up hanging out there for a few hours because it was so cool and there was so much to see. Before heading back to the hostel, I grabbed a quick noodle dinner at the food court.
Day 3: See You Later, Chiang Mai!
I woke up early and couldn't wait to try my #ELEPTEA. It’s so easy to make, and it tasted so good! Creamy and sweet with orange hue, it was the perfect moment to start the day.
For most riders, we believed that paying a visit to a sacred place, would make our journey safe & sound. So, I chose to go to Wat Chedi Luang for making a prayer and asking for best wishes on my trip back home.
With a happy heart, I packed up my stuff, checked out of the hostel, and got my bike ready to go home. The ride back wasn't as exciting because all the good stuff happened in Chiang Mai. But I still had a smile because of the peace I found there.
And of course, my new travel buddy, ELEPTEA, was coming home with me to share with everyone! See you next time, Chiang Mai! The road is waiting, and with a new cup of tea in hand, I'm ready for whatever comes next! #thaitea

Nimman One at Nimman Road, Chiang Mai
⛰【Travel Tips】
📍Detailed Address: Nimman One, Chiang Mai
🚗Transportation Tips: Take a taxi (about 60 Thai Baht from the Old City)
🕙Opening Hours: All day
🌟Highlights:
1⃣️Nimman Road in Chiang Mai is well-known as a street favored by artistic youths and is also called the most artistic place. There are countless Instagram-worthy spots and popular stores. You can take a break at the Butterfly Pea Flower themed restaurant, iBerry Ice Cream Shop, Mango Tango Dessert Shop, and Ristr8to Latte Art Café, which are some of the more distinctive restaurants and cafes, and try some local specialties.
2⃣️Nimman One is located at the north end of Nimman Road, diagonally opposite the MAYA Shopping Center. The second floor houses some big brands and souvenirs, most of which are tax-refundable.
3⃣️Around 4 pm, the night market vendors start to set up their stalls. The recommended choice is still the juice🍹. The pineapple fried rice at the night market is average, not as good as in the Old City, and almost twice as expensive. Therefore, it is not recommended.
4⃣️Overall, the prices are higher than in the Old City, although not very expensive. It is not recommended to buy souvenirs here.
📌Little Tips: It is suggested that you stay in the Maya Shopping Mall during the hot midday and afternoon sun, and come over to Nimman One later in the evening.
