The Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park covers about 35 acres (0.14 km2) and includes several sites in Atlanta, Georgia related to the life and work of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.
Within the park is his boyhood home, and Ebenezer Baptist Church — the church where King was baptized and both he and his father, Martin Luther King Sr., were pastors — as well as, the grave site of King, Jr., and his wife, civil rights activist Coretta Scott King
THE VACATIONER!
Bending the Arc of the Moral Universe
Reminded today of when I visited #atlanta and the King National Historical Park. It is a moving place and one I very much recommend everyone visit at least once. It’s quite easy to walk here from Downtown, and I recommend doing so for the chance to enjoy some time for reflection. The Historical Park stretches over a couple city blocks with the focal points being King’s mausoleum and the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church building. Follow the Freedom Park Trail up to the Jackson Street Bridge for some iconic views of Downtown Atlanta.

Embark on a journey to Atlanta.
🛫After a 12-hour flight, I finally arrived in Atlanta, a city full of legends and vitality in the United States. As soon as I got off the plane, I was hit by a wave of heat, as if welcoming me to this vibrant and innovative city.
🌉As the largest city in the southern United States, Atlanta has a unique cultural heritage. I specifically arranged a tour of the famous Martin Luther King Historic District, which is the former residence of the famous civil rights leader Martin Luther King and the surrounding area, full of the atmosphere of the civil rights movement and African-American history.
🏛️Coming to Atlanta, of course, I can't miss the city's iconic building—Georgia Convention Center. This building has a magical architectural design that combines contemporary art and traditional architectural styles and has become one of the city's landmarks.
🍔Of course, there is also the enjoyment of food during the trip! Tasting local barbecue, grilled chicken wings, and special shrimp cakes gave me a deeper understanding of southern cuisine. In addition, the human touch and enthusiasm I felt on the streets of Atlanta made me fall in love with this city even more.
