Cairo Hotel Marriott Mena House Mina Palace 🇪🇬
#besthotels
If I were to choose to stay at only one hotel in Cairo, I would not hesitate to choose this Marriott Mena House in the Mina Palace, not only because of its excellent scenery near the pyramid A, but also because of its history. The soon to be fully opened Museum of Egypt is also very close, and I believe its popularity will continue to rise in the future.
This hotel, which opened in 1886, is now 139 years old.
It was originally purchased by a British couple and opened to the public as a hotel. It provided Egypt's first hotel swimming pool in 1890, and was operated by the Indian luxury hotel brand Oberoi from 1972 to 2012 for 40 years. In 2015, it was taken over by Marriott and changed its name. As a witness to the Cairo Declaration in 1943 and Egypt's recovery of sovereignty over the Sinai Peninsula from Israel in 1978, my expectations for travel were already high.
The flags of various countries around the world at the entrance of the hotel are in line with the hotel's tone.
After arriving at the drop off area, there is still a walk to reach the hotel's entrance. After security check, the front desk is on the left side, and a large Rolex gold watch and a portrait of the Marriott founder and his son are hung on the wall.

was an unforgettable experience. 🏨 The hotel is located near the Great Pyramid, offering a stunning view from my room. The atmosphere of the hotel was comfortable and decorated with beautiful traditional touches. 🌟 I enjoyed the excellent service from the friendly staff and praised the restaurant for its delicious and varied food. 🍽️ Relaxing by the pool or walking through the surrounding green gardens was one of my highlights. If you want a luxurious experience with historic scenery, the Marriott Mena House is the perfect choice.

I only want to stay in a hotel in Cairo, Egypt
I only want to stay in a hotel in Cairo, Egypt|||Sitting in a wheelchair, I arrived in Cairo, my face covered in dust and sand.
But I fell in love with the hotel - Marriott Mena House, staying for 3 nights. In an area of yellow earth, the Mena House is truly an oasis of cleanliness.
Facing the Great Sphinx and the Pyramids of Giza, you can enjoy the view of the pyramids while having breakfast.
Besides, the Cairo Agreement was signed here, and Agatha Christie stayed in this hotel while she completed 'Death on the Nile'. I can understand why; I don't even want to leave.

Celebrate the New Year under the pyramid, at the Marriott Hotel in Mena Palace, Cairo, Egypt
Without saying much, this is a hotel born at the finish line, and just dining with the pyramids is better than countless in the world.
The hotel has hosted numerous important figures and witnessed countless historical moments in its over a hundred years since its birth. Even the well-known Cairo Declaration was signed here. We are not here to stay, but to write history.
The hotel is right under the eyelids of the Khufu Pyramid, and can't be any closer. It's just a few minutes' walk to the ticket office at the north gate of the pyramid. If it were managed according to China's methods for cultural relics, this hotel would have to be demolished. But the hotel itself has a long history and significant meaning, and it has become a cultural relic, an immovable cultural relic on par with the pyramids. Therefore, it is extraordinary for us ordinary people to have the privilege of sleeping with these two.
Booked in advance with a suite coupon, but was ruthlessly rejected. Fortunately, I was upgraded to a supreme garden view room for free when I arrived. The decoration and maintenance of the room are much better than expected.
There is actually an executive lounge, and the products are very complete, which can be used as a regular dinner. On the day of check-in, it happened to be the Spring Festival, and more than half of the guests in the lounge were Chinese, rolling out of Asia, and the atmosphere was no different from the Marriott lounges in China.
The scenic dining seats framed with the pyramid by the pond, with two rows of more than a dozen tables, are highly competitive. Breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner are all first come, first served. In fact, it's not comfortable to really grab it, it's hot during the day and cold at night, but it's indeed very, very photogenic.
The hotel also offers a pyramid tour charter service, 1600 Egyptian pounds for two hours, which is not cheap. But thinking about the possibility of being in the yellow sand under the scorching sun, fighting wits and courage with various vendors and being tricked, I feel this money is necessary. As a result, it was indeed worry-free, and I got tired of seeing the pyramids and the Sphinx from all angles. This itinerary is especially suitable for people who don't like riding horses or camels.
Tips 1, you don't have to stay, you can visit here for free as a tourist attraction or come to eat as a restaurant.
Tips 2, all consumption other than accommodation requires payment in Egyptian pounds.

[Egypt Accommodation Review] Marriott Mena House, Cairo

When I went to Egypt, I wanted to stay near the pyramids, so I stayed at Marriott Mena House, Cairo.
The room was very spacious and comfortable, thanks to the upgrade. I especially liked the balcony overlooking the large garden on the hotel grounds and the bathroom with a very large bathtub.
The breakfast was a buffet, served in a restaurant with a view of the pyramids. I was very satisfied with my hotel stay, as I could see such beautiful pyramids from the hotel.
I recommend it because it is also easy to get to for pyramid tours.

Egypt | Marriott Mena House Hotel 🏨
Recommendation rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
·
English name is Marriott Mena House. This hotel is the signing place of the Cairo Declaration and used to frequently host royal and political figures from various countries. Almost every tourism practitioner in Cairo has heard of this hotel, and as long as you mention Mena House, everyone knows it.
·
When I arrived at the hotel last night, it was already very late (the reason for the delay is in the previous note complaining about Swiss Air). It was pitch black and I couldn't see anything. The front desk said they gave me the best room in the entire hotel, but it wasn't a suite. I didn't believe it at first, thinking they were trying to trick me with sweet talk. But every staff member who heard my room number said it was the best room, and I believed it when I saw the balcony the next morning. Also, the restaurant where I had breakfast had an amazing view! And it's a 24-hour restaurant! I've stayed at hundreds of Marriott hotels around the world, and this is the first time I've encountered a restaurant that's open 24 hours. Plus, I used Marriott points to book it, which was a great deal at 30k points!
·
In addition, the hotel's lounge seems to be quite nice. Unfortunately, I missed dinner time after I arrived, so I only went in to get a drink. But I could see that the furnishings and tableware were quite good. The next day, I had breakfast outside (facing the pyramids), so I didn't go to the lounge again. The next day, I moved to the Ritz-Carlton in downtown Cairo, and I regretted not staying here for another day.

Have breakfast under the pyramid.
Happy 2023 guys!
On the way back to China... Starting to post photos and vlogs of my trip to Egypt!
First stop: Cairo, Egypt:
mena house is really the hotel to stay in when visiting the pyramids in Egypt. I didn't choose a room facing the pyramids because I feel like the side view is more picturesque and the price is also nice. The predecessor of mena house was actually a palace, but that building is no longer open to tourists.
In front of the lobby, there is a bit of a Taj Mahal feel. The buffet breakfast is quite delicious, and you will see a bunch of sparrows having breakfast with you.
The hotel restaurant is said to have not-so-fresh seafood. You can try a restaurant with a terrace across the street from the hotel. It is not recommended to go to the seafood buffet at the Marriot Mena House, Cairo.

One of the hotel where you can have lunch here at the Marriott mena house and you can enjoy your view with the pyramid. For food and drink, there are varieties types of food like European food (spaghetti…you can ask the staff to cook spaghetti with sauce for you.) , Asian food (like Indian food and so on), traditional Egyptian food (Egyptian dessert). Moreover, there are different kinds of dessert as well. #mytripvlog #foodie #cairo
