✈️Access: Kansai International Airport → Pudong International Airport → Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport
I went to Finland from Kansai International Airport via China. I had always wanted to fly with Finnair, but it was expensive... so I saved a lot of money by transferring👛
Even after arriving at the airport, you can take the tram to the center, so you won't get lost.
🏰Tourist attraction: Helsinki Cathedral
It's a landmark of Finland. It was pure white and magnificent.
There are many other churches, so it's fun to go around, and you can also enjoy a Nordic design museum and an authentic sauna✨
Just walking around the city made me excited because the buildings were so cute😊
🛌Hotel: Eurohostel
I chose a hostel instead of a hotel. The price was good, and there was a shared kitchen so I could cook what I bought at the supermarket, and eat the cup noodles and chilled rice I brought from Japan, so I recommend it 🍚
☕️Food & Restaurants:
・Ravintola Kolme Kruunua
I searched for Finnish food and found this place, so I made a reservation in advance on my smartphone. The staff were kind and friendly, and the food was very delicious.
・Cafe Aalto
This is the cafe that appeared in Kamome Shokudo. I ordered a cinnamon roll and a cafe latte. It was very delicious 🙆♀️
🛍Shopping: Marimekko
Marimekko, which was born in Finland, has several stores in the city. There is also a Marimekko outlet on the outskirts, which is highly recommended. There is a staff cafeteria where anyone can eat, so it is a must-try!
It is also fun to look for souvenirs at Moomin shops, general stores, chocolate shops, etc.
💞Reasons why I recommend it: I think it is a place where you can enjoy the European cityscape in a safe environment.
In addition, it is easy to access in Europe and the flight is short. English is understood everywhere, so we were able to communicate somehow.
If you are interested in Scandinavian design, interior, and Scandinavian life, you should definitely go.✨
🗓️ Itinerary management: I purchased a flight and hotel set on Trip.com. I went during Golden Week, and made the reservation about 3 months in advance. After that, I researched the places I wanted to go and made an itinerary, and made reservations in Japan where I could.
There didn't seem to be any popular places that I couldn't get into, so I think I could manage even if I just went by the seat of my pants.
