Manshan Island, Suzhou.
A romantic and healing niche island in Taihu Lake. In the past, the days became slower, cars, horses, and mail were slower, and there was only enough time to love one person in a lifetime. Today, Manshan Island feels the slow day. Manshan Island is located in Guangfu Town, Wuzhong District. It is a beautiful and primitive ecological island. The only way to get to the island is by ferry.
It is said that Mantuo Villa, the home of Wang Yuyan in Mr. Jin Yong's "Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils", was based on this villa.
Manshan Island is the third largest island in Taihu Lake. There are only three natural villages on the island, with a permanent population of less than 100 people. There is no traffic here, and it still retains the traditional lifestyle and typical Jiangnan water village characteristics relatively intact.
Manshan Island is not big. You can walk slowly and take your time to explore. Half a day is enough. I highly recommend staying on the island for a day to experience the sunrise and sunset and island life. Walking on the island, it is comfortable and relaxing, with the breeze blowing, and time can really slow down.
There are many characteristic homestays on the island, including the Wu Lei theme library, the Manshan living room, the cafe "Cats in the Morning and Evening", the plant space "Flower Time", the Su-style noodle house "Meeting", the fishing-style "Yao Ji Restaurant", etc.
