When you are in you can miss Bondi beach but you simply cannot miss Manly. Make a whole trip from it by taking the ferry from Circular Quay that gives you great views of the Harboue Bridge and the Opera House. After you've taken a swim, take a break at one of the many restaurants available and take a walk to Shelly Beach. If you stay the day, take a sunset cruise on the ferry back to the city for some stunning views.
Manly Beach is definitely a place to visit on your trip to Sydney that you will never get bored

Manly beach
We went beach hopping during our Sydney trip, this beach is so nice and cool, as cool as the name- Manly beach!
There’s a huge Ben and Jerry that sell good selections of ice cream, nothing beats having a cup of nice ice cream by the beach! The beach is very clean as well, there are a lot of touristy shops if you need to get some souvenirs! Oh, you can also get bikini and beach towel here, prices are reasonable!

What is the feeling of surfing in Australia
This is my first real experience of surfing myself.
Even if the coach's detailed explanation is thoroughly familiar, I will try to look forward to the heights, keep the body in the middle of the board, don't be nervous, and enjoy the process. But when it was really in the water, it was still tense when it was on the surfboard. If the waves are so close, it will still make people nervous, especially when the big waves come in, they need to eat a few mouthfuls of water. But as long as you adjust your mind to enjoy it, you will find that both the body and the board can float with the waves, which is actually a very interesting thing.
For the first time, I didn't stand up at all. Ignore the action that the coach said, and I took a shot lately and poured it into the water.
The second time, barely stood up. But not too good to maintain balance, or fell.
For the third time, I finally mastered all the skills I had said before. The feeling of standing on the board and rushing to the wave is really too cool and too free. At this moment, I finally understood the meaning of surfing. I also understand why Australians like surfing so much. Because surfing is a sport full of conquest and freedom!

Ferry to Manley Beach
#ferrytrip
Taking the ferry from Sydney's Circular Quay, near the iconic Opera House, to Manly Beach is a beautiful and scenic experience. The ferry ride provided some of the best views of Sydney Harbour, including the Opera House itself, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and the sparkling city skyline. This journey, lasting about 30 minutes, offered a chance to relax and enjoy the panoramic harbor views.
As we cruised across the harbor, the city faded into the distance, and the fresh sea breeze hits you.
The ferry docks at Manly Wharf, and a short stroll through lively streets led to the beach. Manly has its own vibe—a mix of beach town charm and surfer energy. Whether you grab fish and chips, catch some waves, or just sink your feet into the sand, it’s a perfect escape from the city that’s just a half-hour ferry ride away.

Sunshine and beaches, beach volleyball and gourmet food.
Every time I talk to friends about going to Sydney, they always ask the same question: Bondi or Manly?
This is the million-dollar question. In my opinion, since you've come all the way to Australia, why choose one over the other? Why not both?
Let's start with Manly Beach this time. With a long, straight coastline, the beach itself stretches for 1.5 kilometers, offering plenty of space to play. Whether you're building sandcastles, watching others play beach volleyball, or just lying down to soak up the sun, it's all very enjoyable.
After having fun, grab a burger and a drink at The Pantry Manly by the beach, and you'll be delighted!

Manly Beach and Ferry ⛴️ in Winter Sydney
Written by a tourist who visited there for the first time
• At the weekends, at Manly Beach, there is a market from 9 am to 4:30 pm (during summer until 5 pm).
•Despite the weekends, there are always tasty gelato shops and nice specialty shops to visit.
From Circular Quay ferry station, I got on a ferry to Manly Beach. The travelling time was about 20 minutes, and a good point is that you can view a beautiful Australian sea and the Sydney Opera House above the deck, though nighttime in winter it’s a bit chilly to be outside. It was my first time to get on the ferry, but I’d like to try again. From the Manly wharf to the beach, there are nice shops on both sides of the road, so it took over 30 mins for me but normally should be 5-8 mins. Many gelato shops were there, and I ate one of them which was so tasty, so it must be hard to choose which flavour to eat… Sadly, I couldn’t see the sunset from the beach only the beautiful colored clouds. I’m not sure, but I wondered if I were getting on the ferry during the sunset.
Also, I recommend bringing a coat if you visit in winter and planning to eat the delicious gelato!
I went there nearly at sunset time, and I found a hotel there. Because I had already booked a hotel at a different place, I couldn’t stay, but it seemed a good location to stay.
However, the way back to the Circular Quay was also nice, due to Sydney city lights after the sunset.

Lovely Manly Beach
Come spend a couple of nights at the famous Manly Beach of Sydney! You will find the tranquility in the morning, bustling in the daytime, charming at night. Stroll along the neighborhood you will find the International College of Management, Sydney which is established in 1996. It is located in the ”Manly Castle “ , which was a seminary in the past. The campus was used for exterior shots in the 2013 film, The Great Gatsby.

Sydney: The Explorer's City
If you're looking for a city that you can lost in, feel like a local and treated as a celebrity - #Sydney could be your town.
Australia's largest city has more than 650 suburbs to explore, the harbour city has everything you crave.
Become a #Sydneysider and take the train to places including the Blue Mountains or Ku-ring-gai Chase National park, rich in indigenous #Australian history, ride a famous Sydney ferry to Taronga zoo, Manly or just cruise the world's largest natural harbour.

Manly Beach
#beachlife
For me the most beautiful beach in the Sydney area. The broad promenade with the iconic pines und the beach with a surf school and many beach volleyball fields are perfect for sports or relaxing. The wooden pavilions are signs of Manly beach history as the place to be for the 1900s high society. Manly beach is my absolute favorite also in comparison to Bondi beach.

Sydney, Australia | Come here to embrace the charm of the sea
Come here to embrace the charm of the sea.
Sydney must-visit photo spot📸--The Wormhole at Manly Beach and Don't Jump Rock
The beauty here is breathtaking! Highly recommend choosing a sunny day to go, the photos taken when the sun is shining are incredibly beautiful📷! Recommend driving there~If departing from the City, you can board the ferry at Circular Quay.
Transportation method🚌: Opal card/single ticket $9.7, get off at Manly (about 10 minutes), then take a taxi directly to the wormhole.
Photo tips📷: Once you reach the rocky clearing, make sure to take a set of beautiful photos, the seascape really soothes the soul.
To enter the wormhole, you need to go through a stone cave, the path is a bit dangerous, and there are puddles, so be careful! Remember to bring a flashlight.
Second stop: Don't Jump Rock🧗♀️
Don't Jump is simply too beautiful, even more photogenic than the wormhole! Also, be careful when going down to take photos.
Ladies, remember to wear non-slip comfortable shoes👠.
Australia's seas are really beautiful, highly recommended to everyone!🤩

The charm of this coastal destination, combined with the simplicity of a classic Fish & Chips meal, creates a moment that encapsulates the essence of Sydney's seaside culture.

Manly beach is beautiful with nice litter free sand. It is very easy to get to using the ferry from Sydney Harbour. One has to walk through Manly town which is also full of shops and restaurants to get to the beach. #wintergetaway

This time I went to Sydney. In addition to going to the most red bondi beach, I went to the local favorite Manly beach. Manly Beach is not as famous as Bondi, but I think Manlys beach is no better than Bondis. Inferior.
Manly Beach is quieter than the lively Bondi Beach. "Its only seven miles from Sydney, and the troubles are tens of thousands of miles." This is the favorite word of Manly.
On the reefs on the beach, there are a lot of foreigners who are barely basking in the reefs, and foreigners really like to sunbathe (strongly sigh first).
There are many ways to enjoy the beach here, and you don't have to swim. You can find a comfortable corner, sit down and watch the sea, just relax, or walk along the beach.
This quiet seaside town is not only the most loved beaches of Sydney, but also the famous rich area. I am very envious of the "Sydney Man" who lives here, and there is such a great sea view at the doorstep.
December in Sydney, it is summer, the sun is gentle, not too cold or hot. If you don't want to spend the winter and get tired of it, fly to Sydney in the Southern Hemisphere. There are sunshine, blue sky, beach and bikini waiting for you!
Transportation: Ferry to Manly Wharf at No. 3 Wharf or No. 2 Wharf at Circular Quay in Sydney , about 30 minutes to Manly Wharf
