Mandarin Oriental Sanya is a dreamy escape where everything feels perfect. It is the best hotel that we have stayed in our lives so far. The amenities and facilities were exceptional. The staff’s professionalism was another level. Most of them could speak perfect English. The room was very clean and comfortable with a nice bathtub and a big balcony where we enjoyed the stunning views. One of the many highlights of the Mandarin Oriental Sanya was the delicious breakfast. The buffet offers a large variety of international and local dishes. All the food had a label with the food allergens, which is rare to see in China. Definitely, It was the perfect start of the day. We loved it! Regarding the exterior, it was a combination of luxury and nature. There were multiple stunning pools decorated with traditional elements and greenery. The sunsets were simply amazing and the snorkelling experience was brilliant. Mandarin Oriental Sanya is an easy 10 out of 10. It is not just a stay, it is a fantastic experience, and we are looking forward to returning. Among Sanya’s several bays, Dadonghai is really a popular one, honored as the symbol of Sanya and listed in China’s 40 Best Landscapes. Dadonghai is close to the city center. It is a great family getaway to enjoy the beach, laid-back atmosphere and sea activities. It is an amazing hangout for both travelers and locals. Dadonghai Bay is equipped with lots of upscale hotels both internationally branded and local boutique ones. These hotels not only occupy a seaside location, but also offer comfortable accommodation, great meals, and sea view rooms. And hotel has nice pools and face to the see. Good to take photos. At last, hotel has good location at Sanya, that you could visit city easier than other hotels. This was a very special trip for us. We are expecting our first child and decided to take a babymoon. We chose Sanya because it is a tropical island, we wanted to relax, enjoy sun and sea, but also wanted to be close to the city center. We stayed in Mandarin Oriental Sanya Hotel which has great location. It is short walk from the Sanya downtown. We would recommend to everybody. Mandarin Oriental has great service, nice rooms, delicious food and amazing spa treatments (we tried facial massage). There are many activities at the hotel or nearby: swimming pool with water slide, beach volleyball, snorkeling with dolphins, golf driving range etc... We went scuba diving with Dive World Sanya who is located at the beach next door. They have professional staff and great equipment.

The weather is beautiful, and you can enjoy the beach, coconut trees 🌴, and sunshine in the city center. - Hotel Room Types: Recommended: Ocean Breeze Room, Ocean View Room (higher floors have amazing views) 🏠 Ocean Breeze Rooms are located deeper within the hotel, with slightly obstructed views, but they have great balconies perfect for photos, and the bathtubs also face the balcony for super photogenic shots. 🏠 Ocean View Rooms on higher floors are especially beautiful, with large balconies offering stunning sunset views! - 🍴Dining: Both breakfast and dinner are delicious! If you don't like the hotel food, it's super easy to take a taxi to eat out, as it's very close. The room was equipped with Atelier Cologne's Pomelo Paradis series of toiletries, which had a fresh and pleasant scent. The most attractive feature was the room's direct access to the pool. I could open the door and swim, and this unique design made me feel like I had my own private pool. Dining Experience The hotel offers a wide variety of dining options. The Mandarin Oriental gets mixed reviews, but it's a hotel I want to stay at for two nights every time I go to Sanya. The ocean view rooms are beautiful, and the higher floors have great views. The sea breeze rooms are on lower floors, but they have beautiful bathtubs and terraces. Overall, it's a great hotel and worth a visit.

I booked a Guestroom with Courtyard-View, hoping for a luxurious and relaxing experience. The location is stunning—surrounded by lush greenery and overlooking the South China Sea. It’s a bit secluded, which adds to the tranquility, but the hotel offers shuttle services to nearby attractions. From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff greeted me with a warm welcome. The check-in process was seamless, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. We had to wait by the cafe as our room wasn't ready despite requesting for an early check in. in advance. However, they surprised me with a birthday setup in the room, complete with decorations and a cake! The room itself was stunning—spacious, beautifully designed, and stocked with high-quality toiletries, including full-sized lotion, bath salts and a Dyson hairdryer. The complimentary mini-bar with fruits and drinks was a lovely touch, and I appreciated the free photoshoot service around the resort. The in-house food was excellent, especially the breakfast spread, which featured lobster wonton and an assortment of pastries. The resort also offered a shuttle service to the city center, which was convenient. However, there were a few downsides. The air conditioner was weak, so we ended up sleeping with the terrace open. The pools weren’t as clean as I expected—there were leaves and insects floating on the cool pool and sand in the heated pool. The checkout process was painfully slow, causing us to miss our train back to Haikou. Additionally, the lobby toilet were shockingly dirty, which was disappointing for a hotel of this caliber. Overall, for the price, I expected better maintenance and management. But I would say that it's on par with most resort around the world.
