I reserved Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong during the flash deal super sales being promoted by Trip.com, I managed to grab the VALMONT AWF V-shape Travel Kit package with city view room, free breakfast for 2 adults and 3 courses set dinner for 2 persons. It costs HKD2,288 included tax. The service provided by front office staff was extremely courteous and graciously. She has extended my check-out for another 2 hours. I supposed to check-out at 2pm, then she allowed me to check-out at 4pm in the next day, it has made the stay duration become 26 hours in total. Originally, I have entitled to stay for 24 hours while stay during Monday to Thursday. We are celebrating our kid's birthday, we received complimentary of Milk Chocolate and Hazelnut Cake. As for breakfast, there are 2 restaurants can be chosen, either Clipper Lounge or Café Causette. Clipper Lounge will be provided International Breakfast Buffet, the Buffet Breakfast is served from 7am to 10.30am, it's more popular and busy, required to be queued up for food; while Café Causette will be offered set breakfast, it's served from 8am to 11:30am. We have decided to select Café Causette, the reason is we came with kids as kids cannot eat much for buffet and late wake up, Café Causette has offered three sets of menu, there are : The Mandarin Breakfast, Signature Breakfast and Chinese Breakfast. Check in process is fast on weekdays, the service staff in reception are courteous and talkative. We booked a birthday celebration package, city view with one after tea set, breakfast buffet and in room dinner (due to pandemic dinner buffet was replaced by in room dinner) The room is spacious and comfortable, room style seems like nostalgic and traditional. In room dinner is also acceptable, but personally, the size of main course is not enough for me, while the steak quality is good.
