Beautiful hike in Pacific Palisades. Easy and free parking. Good for hiking, trail running, and bird watching. Went on New Years Day and not too crowded! Moderate difficulty. Recommend hiking shoes as the trail can be rocky/muddy. Note: Did not see bathrooms nearby so do your business before! Bring water as the beginning is quite steep. Distance: 2.5 miles for short hike (1 hour+). 4.4 miles for longer hike (2 hours) Route Type: Out and Back Elevation: Up to 1,190 ft Post Hike - I recommend checking out Juicy Ladies which is a healthy food joint. This place has great smoothies, açaí bowls, and salads.

Right around midday, the clouds slowly dissolved and allowed the sun to shine in all its light and warmth. A reminder that it had been there the whole day, but we just hadn’t been able to see it. It made for the perfect weekend adventure to escape the excitement of L.A. Don’t forget the sun is shining for you whether you see it or not .
