The construction of the Mermaid Sultan Palace was started in 1887 by the Sultan Makmun of the Deli Dynasty at the time, and it was completed in 1888. It is the well-preserved and stylish Sultan's Palace in the urban area of Medan.

The biggest tourist spot in Medan city: Maimun Palace
This palace is located in the city center and is decorated in gold.
You can see the well-preserved Sultan's Palace.
There are many souvenir shops inside the palace.
You will have no trouble buying souvenirs inside the palace.
The Sultan's family still lives somewhere in the palace, but clothes are hung here and there for visitors to see, so you can feel the Sultan's breathing.
It is lit up at night and is beautiful.
If you come here, please come.

Maimoon Palace
These is the local heritage palace for the Sultan of Deli, the Deli Malay great ruler in the past, many Malay artifact, sultan and his family furniture.
Maimoon Palace has a unique design that combines elements of Malay Islamic Style with Spanish, Indian, and Italian Style. The Palace consists of two floors and has a main building with two wings - on the left and right.
they open at 9 AM and closed at 5PM. During friday, they break quite longer than any weekday due to Friday pray. I suggest to visit the place early morning once they open so you can enjoy fresh air around the big garden and sky view.

Off the beaten track in Sumatra
Medan, the major city of North Sumatra, is not well known as a tourist destination, but besides being a convenient launch point for more popular sites like Lake Toba, it also has attractions of its own. The city has a very authentic, lived-in feel, not dressed up for tourists. It's worth spending a few days and getting a feel for life for average Indonesians.
Getting There - Medan airport is connected to the city by a rapid train, as well as taxis. Getting around the city is easiest by motorbike, so I recommend renting one. Lake Toba is also accessible by motorcycle (long ride).
Attractions - The royal palace, the seat of the local sultan, is partly open to tourists. Part of the palace complex is inhabited by members of the sultan's family. The museum, designed like the traditional houses of the Indigenous peoples of the highlands, gives a good overview of the local history, particularly of the Indigenous tribes. It was a helpful preview for me before going up into the mountains.
Food & Restaurants - There are many small eateries and a few fine restaurants and trendy cafés. Don't miss the Sibolang Durian Bar, where you can get an all-you-can-eat special on the stinky but sweet fruit.

Indonesia
Indonesia
happy is always hidden in the simplest and trivial trivia. The Maimoon Palace in downtown Medan, Indonesia is the most magnificent palace in the city.
Weekend, many local people come here to visit, you can put on the most traditional costumes to leave images, you can also relax here!
Experience diversity is the biggest charm of a city, it can be noisy to radiant, but also simple to simple.
